[ So this is what it's like.

It's weird, not just being alone with Ginti—the sight of more people than just her arbiter friends and the significantly weirder ones that aren't them, or that awful Miss Nona she's certain she'll never get along with because of the way that woman gets under her skin... it fills her with equal parts excitement and—

she's not really sure what to call it. It's squirmy and jittery and weird and she distinctly does not like it.

Aligula, also, isn't really sure if she likes the way her heart soars, then stops, then begins pattering softly again when she sees Katniss with her bird. It's hard to resist jumping her and hugging her, squeezing the life out of her, and

she's very bad at resisting things. That's part of her charm though, isn't it? ]

[ Because why wouldn't she use her stupid nickname for Katniss—and why wouldn't she slam full-force into her back, arms wrapping around her middle. She missed her? She misses her so, so much. She misses everyone so much, and it was so much easier for Ferid to forget his feelings but it isn't for her, not when there are so many reminders and not when sometimes, Ginti'll braid her hair the same way Katniss had hers.

It occurs to her, a second later, that Katniss probably doesn't remember her. She'd been slated for reincarnation, after all. New memories, new girl. Aligula still hesitates in pulling away, but does so when she feels her Woobat settle on her shoulder and tug at her.

...the thing wants her attention, okay, he's a vain little prick that reminds her ever so much of Ferid. (She misses him, too. It'd been a while since he'd gone ahead and left her.) ]

[ Even if she hadn't immediately recognized that voice, the nickname would've tipped her off. It's been... hell, it hasn't been very long since she'd last seen everyone, but Katniss finds she's always happy to see the others. (Except for Walter.) Aligula's a force of her own, and she practically knocks Katniss off her feet.

But she can't even be mad. There's... there's actually a smile spreading across her lips, a genuine smile. She's happy.

Still a thing to get used to. ]

Aligula! [ She coughs a little, but she's okay! She's... okay? Better than okay. Katniss turns to face her, and she surveys her a moment before pulling her into a hug. ]

[ A bird fits her, honestly. Aligula's not sure if she's allowed to say it, and she gives it at least a moment of consideration before she squeezes Katniss tight and giggles. ]

Naming these things after people you know's totally kinda silly. Like, what if you met them here? Then what. Do you change your partner's name? Do you start calling that person by a nickname?
