(The more the merrier, as Misato might say. Rei kneels down toward Pikachu, who promptly climbs up her body, past her shoulder and rests atop her head. Better vantage point, and he may or may not be wary around Asuka.

After a moment of waiting, she stands right back up as if nothing happened.)

[She sighs, and tosses out a Pokéball. A sparkly golden Magikarp flops out and wonders why it has been torn from the sweet oblivion of suspended animation to flail helplessly on dry land again.]

Once seeing Magikarp appear and flail, she stares at it for a moment or two, perhaps longer, before bending down on her knees again to poke at it curiously.)
