[Luna barked a hearty laugh as she patted Nozomi.]

Gym Leaders are there for the challenge! And ah, I see, Ponyta! T'would be remiss of me naught to greet my fellow equine!

[And she gave Ponyta a normal for her greeting.]

[And the Ponyta responds in kind]

I know, I know. But, they're really hard...

[She pouts at that.]

Cheer up! I'm sure you'll be able to manage. You just need to vary up your tactics instead of just battling from type matching.

[Luna patted her girlfriend on the head.] Come, let us get to town so that we can go shopping. How's that?

Oh, I'd like that!

[Nozomi cheered up quite instantly, pulling away and taking her girlfrend's hand in response.]

Perfect! ... where are we? I mean, what route?

[One of the things Luna hadn't paid attention to was what direction she and Espurr had walked.]

Uh... Route 2, I believe. We can go back to Viridian City, or we can head through the forest and go to Pewter.

T'would be more of a challenge if we went to Pewter. To Pewter it is!

[And she's going to lead Luna towards the forest.]

[Luna was grinning as she held onto Nozomi's hand, letting her lead. This would be fun after all.]

I wonder if we should make friends with some of the native Pokemon as well? Well, more friends.

It probably wouldn't hurt at all! Ooh, maybe if we end up leaving here, we can take who we catch back! Have some neat companions and all!

It also seems that more Pokemon are out of their region.

[Noted Luna as she saw a Buneary bounce by on its way to feed its family with a pile of berries.]

We should make a note of this world, if we can return.

Oh, you're right. That doesn't seem right there...

I wonder what other Pokémon are out of their regular nature...

[Espurr leaped off Luna's head and went into the bushes. She returned with a small set of berries as Luna picked it and Espurr up.]

These are Aloha berries.

Wow, that's a long way from here. I wonder what caused it...

Some kind of convergence. I'd imagine it's not unlike what drew us to the other Equestria, but much less malignant. For one thing, we've yet to have seen any major issues anywhere.

Don't jinx us, Luna! What if something happens now because of that!?

Please. I'm unnerfed in this world. [Luna made pffh noise.]

We can completely handle anything that comes our way.

[There's a pout from Nozomi before she quickly pulls out her CureMo.]

Good. I didn't want to hold anything on you if I ended up rescuing you from something.

[She giggles at that.]

[Luna grinned a little as she gave Nozomi a quick one-armed hug.]

We'll rescue one another.

[And as she's hugged, she rests her head on Luna's arm]

That's what I want. Let's hope going through the forest won't give us any real surprises.

I'm sure we'll be fine. Worst that could possibly happen are Beedrill.

[She shivers at that. Don't want to hit a nest!]

Well, through the forest we should go!

[Oh, it can't be too bad. As far as Nozomi knew, it was mostly just simple birds, bugs and perhaps the random Pikachu. The entrance to the forest would have a few Metapods lounging around seemingly harmlessly.]

Oooh, look at those!

That's quite an assortment of Pokemon. Diverse, and wholy expected for a forest.

[Luna is gazing between the pokemon, as Espurr tilted its head with a blank stare.]
