How's that? I'm... not sure I'm seeing it myself. [You tried, honey.] Checking what yours is, or what Haunter's saying? I can do the first one, not the second.

[Dorian's expression shifted, becoming the slightest bit salacious. He leveled a look at the other man, eyebrow quirked and his grin becoming crooked.]

That's because you are the furthest thing from a bother, darling. [His chuckle was low and throaty.] As for the other matter, I was asking after my new and dear friend here. I'd certainly love to know what to call him, other than Serah Sassy or something of that ilk.

Care to help me out?

Hey, that's always good to hear.

[What is even this conversation. But! You know, there's nothing wrong with not being a bother! So he'll. Roll with that for now.] Sure, it's no problem.

Did you get the "dex" device when you got here? That should tell you. [A shrug.] Or I can use mine. Either way.

[He's always willing to offer a hand where needed -- no pun intended.]

[Really, he'd apologize, but he wouldn't mean it. His new companion wouldn't be the first person he's charmed the socks off of. Or... annoyed the socks off of, really.]

[His flirtations are mostly meaningless, in any case. Just part of the Imperium charm.]

'Dex device' [He might as well have been speaking Qunlat for all Dorian understood that. Still, he reached for his bag and fumbled around all the same. After a few minutes, he produced a device that he assumed fit the man's description]

Suppose I found one, then. What would I do with it?

[There are far more annoying people in the world -- even as small a world as the Castle ship -- than this guy. So, he's not even remotely bothered.]

[And honestly, any flirting sort of flies right over his head.]

Yeah, that's it. You point it at the animal, and it tells you information about it. All on its own.

[Well... that is a shame. No fun in it if he's not going to be acknowledged. He might as well just let the flirtation go.]

[It'll last about two minutes.]

Alright then. I am pointing this weird device at a creature I know nothing about and--

[Whatever else Dorian planned to say was interrupted as the device began rattling off at him. Most of it he chose to ignore, but the name Snivy stood out.]

A pun, a see! Snide Ivy, very clever. [The Pokemon leveled a glower on him] What a charmer.

[He turned his attention back to the man on the screen. Once more, that blasted flirtatious grin was on his lips. So much for two minutes.] Tell me then, who can I thank for helping me in my hour of need?

[He's grinning though. That's like a miracle in itself. So, good going there, Dorian.]

Snivy -- that's pretty cute. [Haunter apparently agrees, bobbing its head up and down enthusiastically.] They usually are, though, when you first get them.

[Wait hold up, what's that look for? Maybe this guy is just naturally enthusiastic.] Uh -- Shiro, I'm Shiro. Sorry. It's nice to meet you.

[Dorian nodded, eyes traveling over the man somewhat approvingly. The smile was a nice touch. He'd have to make a point of working that out more often.]

[For now though, h.is grin faded in he slightest, losing its salacious edge. Now he looked just a little more gracious.]

Thank you, ser. I'd be nowhere without you.

[Good luck you you, Dorian. They don't happen very often. Usually it's exhaustion and regret and resignation.]

[He blinks once or twice, pushing metal fingers through his hair.]

Hey, it's nothing. Anyone'd tell you the same thing around here.

[Those fingers sure are interesting. He gives a none-to-subtle glance at them, eyes narrowed as he focused. Some type of armor? He'd never seen something that hugged the flesh so tightly.]

[He made a note to ask about it later.]

True, perhaps, but I doubt any of them could be quite so dashing as they do it. [Once again, the grin is back.] Though if you find someone who can do more, I'd welcome you to point them in my direction.

[Far off land where his father can't judge him? He might as well indulge in the sights.]

[Helping people is just the job, right? Just something Team Voltron is supposed to do, no matter where they are. He pauses, thoughtfully, before adding:]

You could probably find someone in your area who could. Unless you're nearby where I am - then I could head your way.

[Dorian quirked a brow. Playful flirtation aside, companionship would most certainly be welcome. He would never admit it, but he was entirely out of his element. Having a more experienced fellow to guide him would, at the very least, keep him from looking a fool]
