Part of their arbiter deal, most likely. Ginti seemed a little eager to be rid of this round's memories before the next arrivals.
[WONDER WHY. AND HE STILL MANAGED TO GET STUCK WITH TWO OF THE OLDER PEOPLE FORM THE GROUP, WHICH MEANS HE STILL RETAINED THOSE MEMORIES...]
The first pair weren't that interesting, but Ginti informed us that that was the usual. What makes them interesting, of course, is the kinds of game they end up playing~. How far you can push them until they finally find their resolution one way or the other, what sort of choice they make...
[A sigh.]
Truly, humanity in particular is something worth adoring.

[Ferid makes a vague gesture with his hand, an action that doesn't add anything to the conversation really. It's just there.]
We may have gotten off lucky with what we had to do, in all honesty. Murder certainly is horrible... but Ginti is an absolute sadist when he's able to be the moderator! There's this little device he uses to rig the games a little and force more extreme pressure on the players.
[He pauses, a thoughtful look on his face as his moving hand rests on his cheek now.]
... I don't think he uses it as much now as he did before us, though. Decim did mention that we changed him for the better. He became more patient, though with a group like ours you'd have to learn that lesson. Wouldn't you agree?

Jesus Christ, we literally used up all of the rest of our lifetimes's worth of good luck convincing him to spare us, didn't we.
[ Between that and the fact that they're all here now, there's gotta be some kind of equivalent exchange going on here, when the fuck is the other shoe gonna drop-- ]

Ginti's a very stubborn man, yes, and his moral compass is as lacking as my own~. But the fact that he let us talk in the first place is proof of our effect on him. [A chuckle.] It certainly seemed to please Miss Nona despite the vast amount of reincarnations he sent off too.

[A pause.]
They remind me a little of my kind, actually -- there isn't anything that interests them besides judgments, and that's simply because it's their job. Vampires don't care for anything but blood. So they're rather boring to talk to, admittedly, not that it stops me from trying.

[ She might've even offered to give him a hand, if she wasn't so eager to get into the reincarnation game. Wouldn't want to keep Angel or Sis waiting, after all, but... ]
That does sound really boring! I mean, even if it means I'm a little luckier for it, that just seems dull...

The... more experienced arbiters, their employers and whatnot, are a little more like the two we know. If it's similar to the effect that we had on Ginti and Decim's assistant had on him, then I think that any of the arbiters can become more humanish the more they accept and interact with their patrons. It's just unusual for judges to have assistants.
[or so he understands. ginti having two is interesting.]
I don't know for certain if that's the case, of course, but my hunches are rarely wrong.

Yes, it's exactly what happened with me, in a way.
[Ferid would make for a good arbiter if he wasn't... exactly as he is.]
Arbiters aren't supposed to have interactions with their patrons outside of the game itself, for more objective judgement, but I absolutely agree with you~! There's nothing wrong with some conversation! In lieu of that, Aligula and I volunteer our services and talk to them, though Ginti doesn't really like it~.
[there is a Way to hold judgments and it does not include asking after love stories]
