[HANGING ON HE IS DEFINITELY HANGING ON. The Pokemon all circle him curiously, and the Rockruff yips in surprise, but none of them seem angry or anything. So far Maurice has been kind to their trainer, so they trust him.]

[And, minding the curious hovering Pokemon, Maurice sets out into the cave. Great stalagmites and rippling rock formations pass them by. It's possible to hear the distant murmur of Weird Weekend chaos reverberating in the distance.]
Man...the last time my buddy and I went through a cave it was so hard to see. I'd almost forgotten what night vision was like. What about you? I haven't talked to any other kind of monster besides vampires...and a werewolf I guess. But I never saw him change so they could have just been pulling my leg.
