Who: Boober & others Where: Paldea When: April & May Summary: Paldea trip catch-all Warnings: Mild language, probably, due to the company Boober keeps. Anything more will get marked in threads!
[A small flinch at the sight of Riz and an apologetic smile, before he nods- and puts his hand back to his head, immediately discounting his answer in the first place.]
Yep, right as rain... [A wince, but he gives another smile. Just the waking up woozies.] Had some really weird dreams, and... how long have I been asleep, anyway? Feels like it's been a hundred years.
[Then, a tiny moment of hesitation, because it's a little awkward if Gobo thinks that was all dreaming. He doesn't think it'll bother him that it wasn't, but he's also not sure he's ready to help if it does.]
Those weren't dreams, Gobo. You remember when Riz was asleep for a long time, right?
[The tease honestly goes in one ear and out the other as he just brightens at that, sitting up a little more.]
Yeah...! Yeah, that's the last thing I remember, too! Wow... [He scrubbed at his hair, closing his eyes a moment if only to sort through the- not dream, but memories. And he felt relief, more than he thought he'd been worried about with it, that he and Boober were united in what they remembered.]
So we're on the same page, thank goodness. [He paused, then chuckled faintly.] That'll make next Night of the Lights easier, at least.
[His expression softened and he nodded, in full agreement.]
Yeah, me too. On both of those! Imagine not knowing if we were gonna be able to have radishes again, or be friends with Junior.
[However, not all the memories were pleasant. He hit on one, and even if it was all said and done and dealt with by now, it was still there... So, there was a sheepish little duck of his head as he rubbed his neck.]
Hey, listen. Sorry I was so pigheaded through that entire thing about the radishes, eh? Not havin' them, I guess it just... Well, you know. It was scary! We'd only just gotten back all our water and everything, right? And then that happened too, and the thing with the Gorgs, and dealing with the gusties again and again and again, and...
Gobo, I don't think you have to be sorry to me about any of that. I'm the one who didn't want to face the truth that the radishes were gone, and...
[He trails off at first, lips pressed together in a tight line as he thinks about where things went from there. Gobo ignoring his feelings and encouraging them all to do the same had a problem, yes! But as far as Boober's concerned, it is all said and done in terms of how it had impacted himself and the others.]
Look, it's not like you're the only one who's ever pushed things down.
[He cannot help glancing back at Riz as he says that, no more than he can help the fond smile that comes as he sees Riz, still asleep with his mouth hanging open. He's starting to drool, and it's gross, but Boober isn't complaining one bit right now.
But, right. He turns back to Gobo with a helpless little shrug.]
I don't think it was as bad for the rest of us, then, as it was for you. But you should be proud! You saw what was happening with you.
Just... If you feel like it's happening again-- You know you can tell me, right?
[The fond smile is back, admittedly started a little by just watching Boober and Riz, even when one of them was passed out asleep. But it remained, because of the sentiment and the warmth he felt for his friend.]
I do know and I will, I promise. Hey, you were there for Mokey too, right? So I know I can count on you to help me out, whenever I need it.
[He paused a moment, then offered a hopeful smile.]
And... You know you can count on me for the same, right? [A faint chuckle.] No more pushing it down and Fraggling up, honest.
Good. And don't forget that, well... I like helping. So it's good for us both.
[Boober's not surprised when Gobo makes sure Boober knows the offer to help goes both ways. Lately, he's seen that Gobo can be more uncertain about others counting on him than Boober would've guessed.]
Of course I do. You're always good at being there for your friends.

[At first he's freaking out a bit, but then Boober said that and]
Oh! Yeah, I do remember that. So... if I was asleep for a week...
[He pondered that a moment, then looked up with an apprehensive, almost sad expression.]
Does that mean there's more that I've seen that you haven't?

[It's a playful tease, but he'd also like to know how much their memories do or don't line up.]
The last thing I remember is getting the windmill to work, in the Gorgs' garden. What about you?

Yeah...! Yeah, that's the last thing I remember, too! Wow... [He scrubbed at his hair, closing his eyes a moment if only to sort through the- not dream, but memories. And he felt relief, more than he thought he'd been worried about with it, that he and Boober were united in what they remembered.]

I'm just glad to know the radishes are fine! Imagine if we just weren't sure!
[A beat, and then.] I bet it's good knowing you and Junior are still friends, too.

[He sighed, shaking his head.]
Yeah. 'M sorry.

It's great to see you helping too, Boober! What is it you say? "When you're hungry, ask for me"?
[Yes, that was in rhythm for the song he was quoting. Fraggles.]
