video;

[Hey fellow Paldea chums. Guess who immediately hit up the library to learn everything about this region that he can?

So now have Armin absolutely beaming at the camera, a wide smile and eyes shining bright as he holds up an atlas for all to see. The atlas is open to the page on the Asado desert.]

It really does look like a sea of sand!

I've wanted to see a desert since I was a little kid, and now I finally get the opportunity. Would anyone be interested in going with me? Huey, you perhaps? I think there is an assignment available too, if that might motivate some folks.

[Hey, Armin will do the assignment while he is there, but he doesn't need it. He'll go just for the excitement of seeing a desert.]

Or, perhaps, does anyone have a tips on travelling through a desert? Bring plenty of water, of course, but anything else? And pick the right pokemon, I suppose. I don't imagine my water pokemon would enjoy the area much.

Did you say ruins??

[The shift in Louie's attitude is sudden, but now he sure seems to be getting on board.]

Ruins are almost always worth it, Armin. Even if there's not a treasure-treasure, there's usually a thing or two that's old enough to be valuable! It's even better, 'cause those are the things that aren't booby-trapped, or guarded, or cursed...!

You can never go wrong with ruins, alright? Think of that as your first lesson from me, for a change. Treasure Hunting 101.

Okay, sure, sure. But come on! You're always teaching me things about what lives in the ocean, don't I get to return the favor?

[This is how you talk a nerd into focusing on treasure, right? It's more teasing than anything else, but really, Louie does think it'd be maybe kind of cool to share some knowledge with Armin in this area he's pretty well-versed in.]

I'm sure it does, too.

And I'm also pretty sure you wouldn't have brought it up if the the other interested people didn't include a nerd in a hat, right?

I'd try making an argument about what people want not always being the best thing for them, but I feel like in the long term that's going to come back and bite me more than it would do anything else.
