[Hey fellow Paldea chums. Guess who immediately hit up the library to learn everything about this region that he can?

So now have Armin absolutely beaming at the camera, a wide smile and eyes shining bright as he holds up an atlas for all to see. The atlas is open to the page on the Asado desert.]

It really does look like a sea of sand!

I've wanted to see a desert since I was a little kid, and now I finally get the opportunity. Would anyone be interested in going with me? Huey, you perhaps? I think there is an assignment available too, if that might motivate some folks.

[Hey, Armin will do the assignment while he is there, but he doesn't need it. He'll go just for the excitement of seeing a desert.]

Or, perhaps, does anyone have a tips on travelling through a desert? Bring plenty of water, of course, but anything else? And pick the right pokemon, I suppose. I don't imagine my water pokemon would enjoy the area much.

Yes, that might be difficult with water Pokemon. They might help later though. I'd think Camerupt would be good. I have a ground type, but he's not very strong at the moment.

Neither is Beatrice, for that matter. I've had her for a long time, but she's never been one of my battle pokemon. She helps me take care of the eggs my pokemon produce.

I do have a fire type, who can hopefully handle the environment just fine. I just hope he won't, ah... see all the sand as litter.

The Camerupt? Because she's warm? Well, it might give a chance for her to spend some more time working.

In a way, yes. Some members of her species have an ability called Flame Body. It has its effects in battle too, but for breeders like me, it's the effects outside of battle that are of use. Any eggs kept near a pokemon with the ability Flame Body hatch in half the time. And the type of eggs I normally hatch take a long time to do so, so it really helps the process along.

Oh interesting! That is good to know. I'll make note of that as well. Sounds like it would be very helpful to have a Pokemon with Flame Body. [Since he had been assigned a breeder as well]

Oh... that is a very large cat. I don't think I have seen one.

They start out quite small and cute. Which is rather dangerous because it's very hard to not teach them some very bad habits you will regret when they are evolved.

Oh, that is true. I can imagine that is the problem with many of them. My Shinx is definitely small and cute, but I have seen what he will turn into eventually so I'm trying to temper that because he will become much larger.
