[Hahahaha, Astarion has been awful quiet since the shard event. Too quiet. Too secluded. But hey, something something moving on or pretending to. But the Paldea trip was easy to take his mind off of various things and just experiencing the odd new world did wonders for his psyche. Enough that he was able to make his presence known again on the network. No matter how many people now knew some of his darker secrets. It was out, and he could hate everyone and the world or still appreciate he was a part of it. Still able to see himself in the mirror, eat real food, and be out in the sun to experience this...

He wore a pair of sunglasses and sat on a beach chair.

He was quick to showcase what he was watching comfortably with a distance.]

Nature is truly a wonderful thing, isn't it, darlings?

[In front of him was a group of Tinkaton trying to swat their giant hammers at a lone Corviknight flying above them. They were almost gleefully chaotic in trying to swat at it.]

I've been watching these pink menaces for about an hour. I'm beginning to like their spirit.

Well, well. I guess that I’m not the only one who finds them very bemusing with their little rattles. They are such energetic little pink creatures. Mira would have loved playing with them all day.

(Isabela is currently at Artazon, admiring the Sunflora walking around the area. She is interested in trying to catch one for herself here but right now the Tinkatink are the ones catching her attention at the moment.)

Ah no...not talking about the little ones.

[There was a shake of the camera before Astarion spoke.]

Nothing about those "rattles" are "little".

[Seemed like a fully evolved Tinkaton smacked the earth at full force and created a tremor.]

And play might be a little rough when they fully evolve like that.

Oh I see. These rattles sure evolve into something bigger like a giant hammer judging by how big the camera shake got.

(She could see the effects of the tremor made by the Tinkaton hitting the ground with her giant hammer. The camera shake can be quite noticeable.)

Do you suppose that every time they evolve, they make upgrades to their ‘rattles’ to become big hammers? Or do the hammers evolve with them too? I’m intrigued to see how my Tinkatink would do with that whenever she doe evolve.

Huh...never thought of it that way.

I always figured it was like...oh, a part of them? Odd as it is to have an inanimate object attached to you like that.

I’ve been thinking the same thing as well for some time ever since I got my Tinkatink. I have been observing how Mira interacts with it everyday and how much she keeps it close to her at all times. She seems to enjoy hitting rocks and tree trunks with it that I have to get a couple of metal balls for her to use the rattle on to prevent hitting things so consistently.

I can only guess that this line really love those rattles turned hammers very much that they might be the closest thing to have a comfort item among Pokémon.

[ Luisa debates for a moment whether to respond or not. After what happened with the mirror shards, she doesn't know how much he would want to see her.

Still, this seems like a neutral enough topic. Even so, she settles on sending a text instead of a video reply. ]

Yeah, they're pretty fiesty. I have one after a swarm showed up a while back, and for some reason she's always trying to throw things at my Corviknight.

I don't care to pretend I understand such rivalry but it makes for QUITE a show.

[Look...Astarion had spent a lot of time thinking. That maybe they were all hating him but this was a test to see if that was actually true.]

[ Luisa certainly didn't hate him. Far from it, in fact. Honestly, she's been worried that he was upset with her.

But they were talking, so that's a good sign, right? ]

It's pretty funny, yeah. But when you have both of them, trying to get them to stop fighting all the time can be pretty tough. We've had a lot of close calls with Machica throwing her hammer a little too close to the house.

Having one of your own is one thing but there is NO way you can stop the feral barrage of iron happening over there.

All the more reason why I considered getting one. Think of the potential damage, oho.

And where are you, my dear? Don't tell me you don't want me to dee your face NOW.

I think you should. They are a lot of fun, honestly, aside from the damage they can cause.

[ Then again, it sounds like that's the part of them he'd really enjoy.

After a bit of hesitation, Luisa eventually switches to video with a sheepish smile. ]

Sorry. I wasn't sure if... [ Pausing, she shakes her head a little. ] Never mind.

[Oh that-- Huh. Louie winces at the situation.]

Okay, good to know before trying that flying around here on my Corviknight might be a really bad idea.

[Sure not putting her or himself at that kind of risk! He's even more glad for the warp set-up they have in Paldea now.]

Those pokemon could give my cousin a run for her money when it comes to being pink and cute and, you know, happily inclined towards violence.

People have always said it's the cute ones with the most "unhinged" tendencies.

I'm generally inclined to agree, aha!

... Yikes. I hope they won't try to attack Harley when it's her turn to come.

[Harley being an unevolved Pokemon who will eventually be a Corviknight.

Evie tilts her head and looks up at them. "Vee?" She wonders why they can't all get along!]

Hmmmm, yes, I would probably have them stay clear. The way these gremlins are ON this poor bird is just plain craziness.

[He said in a still entertained tone.]

The bird didn't even do anything, it was purely on sight.

Yeah, that is something else. Do they just hate that Pokemon, or maybe others too?

[He frowns, pondering.]

Oh wow, they really don't like that Corviknight, do they?

It's hilarious, isn't it, darling? I can see it now...

[He made a mock rainbow motion with his free hand.]

Mortal enemies, face to face. Clutching onto their dignity, one plucked feather and WHACK of a hammer at a time.

Why is it always the pink ones who wield such large weapons...

[Seriously, is there a, like... what is the word... Is there a gene for this? Is that what this is?]

I know. Isn't it fun? Nature and all that has never been my forte but it's so interesting to learn this side of it.

[He is but a simple soul with a taste of dark intimidating armor and sometimes an incredibly empty head. There is no helping this.]

Indeed. I cannot say it is a dull moment, no matter the creature which crosses one's line of vision.

Do you have an interest in asking one of them to be your companion, then? Or is this simply to amuse yourself and pass the time?

Ooooh, I plan to find one of the smaller ones.

[BOOM CRASH. That was definitely a rock and the ground. Of hammers.]

Amusing at this is, I am not stupid enough to go near THAT. I'm not prepared to face death in this place. Or closest to it as we can get.

Indeed... Even if there is no death, then it certainly still hurts. There's no reason to indulge in that.

[At least, you know. He says that. But Dimitri still does tons of ill-advised things all on his own. He gives so much trouble to his boyfriends sometimes but it can't be helped.]

Hopefully the two of you will bond well. This place is certainly not lacking in many colorful new individuals like that... although I feel a bit bad for the birds. While different in coloration, they do remind me of my own Pidgeot.

I'll have to think of a way to counter them....

The teenager blinks himself back to attention.] Have any of them actually reached them? I always wondered how they managed it going off the dex entry...

Mmmm, not yet. Perhaps that's for the better, else we'd be watching something entirely different.

There's one of it and many of them. Even if there's typing trouble, I doubt one could withstand many, many hammers.

I have to agree...you know, I wondered why the taxis here were using such small flying pokemon, but watching this really gives an idea of why.

[Talk about flight hazards!!]

I wonder if I'll run into them at any of the ruins I'm visiting...
