Summary: Let's complete our History Class Assignment

Jotaro's never been a history nerd. However, the assignment had sparked his interest or, more specifically, the prize. An Amulet Coin? For someone who is really bad at Breeding (Or just low in the JKBA ranking) having an item to increase Poke earned is useful.

So that's why Jotaro's out in the wilderness, in the rocky areas of area 5. You can find him squinting at various rocks and/or trees, keeping a careful eye out for them. Even if you're not looking for Gimmighouls, the tall, intimidating reacher will come up to you and just.... stare.

"...Have you seen more of these coins?"

If there was a curse, I suspect it would have the involvement of a Pokemon known as Gimmighoul. Know anything about it?

If it was a curse, it wouldn't be a strong one. I would say it's closer to a compulsion to collect coins

(Harry just so happens to be taking pictures of the rocky areas of Area 5, eager to improve on his photography skills and have some mementos of the trip. Bonn, his Cyclizar, is taking a nice nap under the shade of a big tree while his trainer takes snaps of the breathtaking scenery in front of him.

In fact he wasn’t planning to going on a Gimmighoul search up to this point when he was first approached by Jotaro. The man’s height didn’t scare him though: one of his best friends from home was very tall due to his half giant heritage. But he didn’t notice any coins within the area with him being so busy with his photography for hours until the older tall man asked him that. Perhaps any of his photos could direct them to their location as a possible clue.)

Oh, um, hi. Me, having seen any more of the coins you speak of? Well I might have taken some photos with some of those coins earlier. Maybe they can tell us where they might be hiding at.

[Jotaro stares at Harry sternly before he gives a small grunt of acknowledgement. That's technically a 'hello' from Jotaro.]

I see. Let's see them, then. [If Harry is happy to skip pleasantries and get down to business with a stranger, Jotaro's more than happy to do the same] They are usually accompanied by a small Pokemon. Silver. Big gold eyes. Hopefully, you have a good camera.

Okay, here they are. I also notice some shiny stuff in these photos, perhaps they could be the coins scattered across the land.

(Harry brings out a couple of the photos he had taken within the last couple of minutes so he and Jotaro can look at them. The pictures seem to range from trees to mountains, but if they pay full attention to them, there are glints of shiny gold coins scattered across them.

It is a good thing that the gym battle earnings he had gotten from defeating Chuck before the Paldea trip announcement allows him to get a really good camera ahead of time. Otherwise Harry had to squint his eyes out from trying to spot them properly for minutes on end.)

Oh so there is a small silver Pokémon who is often seen with these coins? I might have also took some photos with them carrying them.

Jotaro doesn't spend too long admiring the photos but he studies them intensely, carefully going over the details with his sharp eyes. He's sharp-eyed enough to see the various glints in Harry's high quality photos and he notes them in his head. Then the man looks up and around, getting a feel for where the photos had been taken.]

Yes, they're called Gimmighouls. They're easily startled but they drop those coins. I've caught one today but it's slightly different to the ones running around. Do you want to see it? So you know what you're looking for?

Oh why thank you, sir. I have been working on using a camera frequently for some time now. I thought that the trip to Paldea would be a great chance for me to use it even more.

(Has he ever considered making a career in photography back home? Not originally but the Snorunts did inadvertently showed him a way to cameras, which explains why he has been trying it out for months now.)

Gimmighouls sure sound like fascinating creatures. They in a way remind me of a species in my world that look like moles due to their shared liking for anything shiny. Oh yes, I would like to take a good look at it.

I might be able to help. Curses seem to be the closest magic usually comes to following any kind of rules, but I'd need more information. I can run it by my brother, too, any curses we faced probably got logged in his Woodchuck Guidebook and somehow even here, he still has that thing with him.

At least, I'm assuming you actually got cursed by a treasure chest.

This just feels like a really weird thing to ask hypothetically.

Not completely sure. But a compulsion to collect coins for my Gimmighoul isn't normal for me. I usually don't care for money.

[ Yuzu is mostly just exploring herself, technically still looking for the coins, but much more casually on her part... and yet, she's actually had remarkable success in finding them.

What can she say? Being an Action Duelist means being very good at spotting small objects littered around various different environments... and that particular skillset is coming in handy here.

...but that's not really important for these two, is it? After all, Yuzu is very recognizable. She hasn't grown much taller at all since she was 14... hell, even by 17-year-old standards she looks young, but still, the signs of growth are there. Longer hair, slightly less babyface, and so on. ]

Hm? Oh, are you looking for them... too...?

[ Her voice trails off as she looks up at him, eyes widening in recognition. ]

[It's probably Yuzu's luck that has stopped Jotaro from finding coins, much to his own Gimmighoul's dismay. But Chester is forgotten, mostly because Jotaro's focused on the girl in front of him.

Yuzu is youthful, only three years older from when they last met. Jotaro, while he aged gracefully, is very much an adult. His face is thinner, more square. The creases on his face are deeper. He's slimmer even.]

[He says in lieu of an answer.] You made it out of that place too.
