[video| Viridian Forest Area]
[The video starts and Gil has set up a bit like a video-blog, as if he intends to make this slightly regular.]
Okay, so a couple of things. This weekend's a bit of a blur, but all I know is that I now have this awful fish and I can't get rid of him. Also, from what I've gathered digging in the Pokédex, he should've evolved ages ago with the way he just beats up local marine life. I need a Breeder or something to look at him, since I'm starting to think he's got a thorn in his metaphorical paw.
[The video pans to an enormous Magikarp in a small pond, its gold scales tinged with mud. There's a calm, but as the camera moves closer the fish goes ballistic and launches itself clean out of the water directly at Gil. The boy ducks casually, having done this a few dozen times now. There's a flash as Gil sucks the Magikarp back into his Pokéball]
As you can see, I can't get close to the thing without direct Pokéball intervention. I tried to Box him in Viridian City but he broke out of his ball and had a fit and almost broke a window.
[Then there's a sound like a giggling mew. A naughty little Purrloin peeks into the frame.] Right, I'm getting to you, Niya. Anybody know how to get a Purrloin to stop stealing? It's unbecoming of a cat.

[A beat, and he squints a little at the screen. That one sure is a different color than his.]
Do you think it's sick? I mean, I have one but it just flops around, but it's orange. My friend has one too and it's sort of the same.
no subject
As far as I can tell it's just a "Shiny" Magikarp, which apparently look like solid gold for some reason. I imagine His Uselessness was the largest fish of the clutch and just grew comfortable bossing others around.
[A beat as he lets it back into the water. There's a grudging splash of water sent Gil's way.]
Because he's terrible. That or he ate a pile of Rare Candies.

You know, I've got an electric type who might be able to beat the crap out of him and teach him some manners.
[Blitz the Voltorb is getting tired of
bullyinghelping train Jean's Magikarp, who is significantly less aggressive and more useless, and getting to smack around one that presents an actual challenge might be fun for him.]Re: video;
Hell, maybe it'd prompt him to evolve and be useful...though a Gyardos three times out of my league is kind of a horrifying prospect.

[Jean knew that Magikarp turned into something good, but he had no idea it was that good!]
Okay, now we have to do it.
video;
[As far as he remembers, it's one of those odd power curves.]
Well, if you find yourself near Viridian Forest, I won't stop you from trying.
video;
[Jean can't wait, and he cackles a little.]
My Electrode is going to be so pissed when the Magikarp evolves!

[For either the 'karp or the cat.]
That's what I do for my dragonshark since I don't have enough badges to impress it.
Re: [Video]
...What does a fish that big even eat, anyway? Other fish? Fruit? Guess I'm going to trial and error this, since he's not very communicative. What a bother...

Though, that'd be an insult to those Trash Pokémon. I hear those exist.
