hey everybody!
so let's say that HYPOTHETICALLY you had a few friends with birthdays coming up in a couple of days.
and HYPOTHETICALLY you wanted to get them really awesome birthday presents that would knock their socks off.
what would you get them?
do you think that there are pokemon related things that would make good gifts?
i would have gotten them something from online, maybe, but the past few days have been kind of weird, so i couldn't get any orders in.
so i think i am going to have to stick to what i can get around goldenrod.
any ideas?

This is easy! Get them some of those move-teaching discs from the department store, or evolution stones that work for their Pokemon. You can ask the shopkeeper if any of their Pokemon can use them and they should know.

Oh, and there's this business that sells the most delightful themed pictures of Pokemon! Talk to Draculaura.

Or you could buy them some of those new Ride Pager devices when they release, I suppose. Those seem useful. And pricey.

i do not think i have enough money to get a ride pager for everybody, even if they do sound awesome.
but a move-teaching disc sounds pretty cool!
...but how do i know whether or not they already have one?
i will be honest, these hypothetical people with birthdays have been here longer than i have and are also better at pokemons in general.

That's fair. They do seem a bit pricey.

You don't know, I suppose. But it's the thought that counts! If you're at a loss, just get some that remind you of them. I bought "Roar" for my wife on account of her ferocity in battle, and she was thrilled to bits. I'm sure your friends will appreciate you thinking of them, too.

you're right, the best part of birthday gifts is the thought, not the actual value of what you get them.
i wonder what kind of tms there are. there's a lot, right?
so at least one of them will be kind of like one of my friends.

actually dirk might kind of be into that so maybe not

wouldn't i WANT to get dirk something he might be into?
like that is the whole idea of birthday gifts.

Everyone loves outfits! Get them some new clothes!

but what if i don't know their sizes?
i wouldn't want to get them something too small! or too big!

Then just buy all the sizes!

[draculaura constantly forgets that money is... not something everyone has a large quantity of]

i mean... i guess i would not have to worry about it, then.
but also, i have four whole presents to buy.
i don't have enough money to buy all of the sizes of four different clothing items.
i probably do not even have the money to buy all of the sizes of ONE clothing item, actually.

Pokemon related things would always work. TMs too, if you've got the money. Eggs, if there's one they want and haven't been able to find.

I feel like it would be hard not to get them something Pokemon related.

What kind of Pokemon related things would you suggest, though? Like, specifically? Preferably things that are cheap.

Since winter's coming up? Scarves. Hats. Hoodies and shirts.

clothes sound like a very popular birthday choice based on what i am hearing!
a bike is kind of big though. and also, i think all of them can ride their pokemon?
it would not hurt to check and see what movies are playing, though.

well, yeah. Riding Pokemon is cooler, I guess.
Yeah! It can't be that hard to find out what kinds of movies your friends are into!

I think that sort of question is hard to answer without knowing more about your friends. What makes for a good gift depends a lot on what sort of personality and interests your friends have. For example, one of my friends would be very happy to receive a book, but it wouldn't make a very good birthday present for my best friend.

that's a good point.
last time i had to worry about birthday gifts, i put a lot of thought into what to get all of them, but i guess it feels like it's different here?
i mean, adding in pokemon-related items changes the game entirely.

One of my own friends has a birthday at the end of the month too, so I've been looking at presents too. It is a little overwhelming, to be honest. There's so many things available here. Though I'm not sure I should say too much about it here. I wouldn't want him to see. What sort of things are your friends interested in? Are they big on battling? Any particular hobbies maybe?
