Hey everyone! Uh...Long time no see?

[How does one hop back into socializing after being buried in pokemon and also books for a number of weeks.

And packing. There appears to be a long, narrow boat on a trailer behind him- the trailer itself being attached to... A Tauros? Look, Mootiny seemed the best option for this-]

I've been pretty busy the last while...but I've got some pretty exciting news! It's not completely set in stone, but I'm going to start construction on my Gym finally!

Man, that's the third time today... ...A-anyway...I kind of got lost in my own business for a while, but how is everything? It didn't seem like anything big was happening at least!

In any case, those In Olivine will easily find him as he prepares to set off on his trip- harnessing various large pokemon in the place of Mootiny to decide the best course of action for the road.

Hah! Well, I don't know about totally unexpected...

You were with us when a bunch of us fell back in time right? To Hisui?

[As far as Doppio's concerned, that segue alone is unexpected enough.]

We learned a lot about camping, and survival there...

...and it occurred to me, most people are tossed into pretty similar situations just arriving here. There's no supply stores in New Bark or Pallet, which means no tents, no tools to forage for food...and even then, there's no way to really teach anyone how to get by.

...So I want to change that.

[epitaffio]

[This is not going even REMOTELY where he thought it was.]

Wait, so you're gonna do some kind of... wilderness challenge?

Kind of. It's more like wilderness training? I also want to stock supplies that can be loaned out for newcomers, and sold as well, that kind of thing.

Stuff that would make it a little less...intense for anyone that arrives in the middle of January, you know?

Huh... I guess I kinda get it.

It's sort of smart... I had no idea you could do this type of thing with a gym!

I think you can do pretty much anything with one, as long as it makes sense!

I mean...Hermana basically just pummels people for a minute, for hers....and then Carly doesn't fight at all...

Do people actually go to THEIR gyms...?

Oh yeah, loads. Hermana's is kind of like...it's about the challenge- it's a chance for people to go against really strong pokemon without the expectation of winning. And then her wife's, well...it's basically a puzzle game gym. So it's not surprising there's a draw to it.

...Also, I think people like how the badges interlock.

What about the part where she pummels you?

She has to catch them in the ring first, and it's a pretty big ring. Sixty seconds is only so much time in the end.

Why would anyone fight with something other than pokemon in a gym!?
