save our snorunts event log
Who: Everyone!
When: January 2-26
Where: Practically everywhere. Maybe not the volcano on Cinnabar Island.
What: Save those Snorunts!
OOC Info: here!
The hills are alive with the sound of… sneezing?
It’s almost a week into January, and trainers may have started to get nervous about the lack of Snorunts. Whether you’re excited to see them, or just want the metaphorical bomb to drop and be over with - the wait is finally done. Snorunts have started to make their way into town.
But instead of fortunes, what they have to give right now is coughs, bleary eyes, and sad little flops sideways into the snow. They’re not alone, either: every once in a while you’ll see an equally sick Glalie or Froslass. (Be careful - a sneezing Glalie is basically a wrecking ball waiting to happen, prone to launching itself backward! And if you’ve been struck by an odd spurt of bad luck, maybe you’ll be right in the way when it does…)
In cities across Johto and Kanto, and in field camps in between, Nurse Joys are scrambling to treat the miserable Ice Pokemon. But they’re direly in need of more helping hands. Will you pitch in?

It'd be no trouble at all! Besides, we get to sit near the tents, while you and your team are walking around lugging all that ice. If we can spare you the trouble of tracking masks down, it'll be worth it.
[Cecil's in a sewing groove right now, he'd be fine going a bit longer. It's not like he really feels the cold or the needles, at this point.]

On the other hand there's Boo, and she is vulnerable. Ryan would definitely chastise him if he passed up this offer, and honestly? Min couldn't blame him for it. He'd be annoyed too if Boo got sick because of his carelessness.]
Only if it's really no trouble. It would be good to have them.

[Judging from the pre-cut pieces of fabric in the vicinity, there should be less than half a dozen left to sew.]
–while Yan gets some water boiling to warm up everyone who needs it. Would you and your Pokémon like some tea?
[Yan looks far too happy to have the opportunity to switch tasks. Of course, he still needs to finish his current mask. Preferably without any further injuries.]

Does Yan need any help?
[Cold as it is, it still feels like he's doing too much, but he's already said yes and they probably should have some masks just in case. Even with the pile mostly done, he does feel bad about making extra work for them.
The least he can do is help Cecil's Pokémon out with the tea.]

[Yan interrupts with a shout and a... burning fist? A burning fist. Not the one holding his latest mask, thankfully, but that poor needle stood no chance. Yet fear not! He'll get that water boiling in an instant and make sure there's plenty of tea for everyone who wants it!
Cecil waits until his back is turned to continue, in a whisper.]
If you could make sure he does not punch the kettle too hard, it would be very much appreciated.

Uh. Yeah, that's probably a good idea.
[He looks over at his Pokémon, deciding who is best to supervise Beat while he makes sure Yan doesn't break anything.]
Fade, beat... why don't you see if you can find where to drop off the ice?
no subject
[He picks up Yan's abandoned last mask, giving it a quick look over. No burn marks, thankfully. It joins the rest of the pile.]
Would you like one of my flyers to help them look from above?
no subject
[The kettle seems to have survived, but his methods could definitely use some refining. He starts setting up the cups, not daring to let Yan take care of that.]
If that's okay with you. It can't be far, right?
