save our snorunts event log
Who: Everyone!
When: January 2-26
Where: Practically everywhere. Maybe not the volcano on Cinnabar Island.
What: Save those Snorunts!
OOC Info: here!
The hills are alive with the sound of… sneezing?
It’s almost a week into January, and trainers may have started to get nervous about the lack of Snorunts. Whether you’re excited to see them, or just want the metaphorical bomb to drop and be over with - the wait is finally done. Snorunts have started to make their way into town.
But instead of fortunes, what they have to give right now is coughs, bleary eyes, and sad little flops sideways into the snow. They’re not alone, either: every once in a while you’ll see an equally sick Glalie or Froslass. (Be careful - a sneezing Glalie is basically a wrecking ball waiting to happen, prone to launching itself backward! And if you’ve been struck by an odd spurt of bad luck, maybe you’ll be right in the way when it does…)
In cities across Johto and Kanto, and in field camps in between, Nurse Joys are scrambling to treat the miserable Ice Pokemon. But they’re direly in need of more helping hands. Will you pitch in?

Not that concern for Boo stops him from fixing Ryan with a disgusted look as he wipes his glasses on his shirt. Like it wasn't already beyond saving when Boo sneezed right on him.]
Gross, man.
[Min-Gi looks torn between wanting to check in on Boo for himself, or keeping his distance. It results in some awkward hovering and attempting to lean in a way that doesn't actually let him see anything.]
Does she seem as bad as the wild ones?

Hey, I could've come over and wiped them off on you, man!
[He sticks out his tongue like a brat, but he moves into the room so Min can get just a little bit closer.]
Aw, Boo...you're not feeling good, huh? C'mere...oof!
[It takes a little trial and error to find a spot in the room where he can kind of see Min without actually getting close to him. If Min-Gi can see him, he'll see that he's carrying Boo like a sick toddler. Her face is buried in Ryan's shoulder and she lets out the saddest little "La...ss...".]
She sneezed right out of her pokeball earlier, and she's been wobbling in air...I dunno, you've seen more of the wild ones than me, but she seems pretty sick...
[There's a worried note in his voice, and he awkwardly twists a little to try and rock her like he's soothing a baby.]
It's okay, Boo...it'll be okay.

He edges a little closer to the door, glad that Boo is turned away from him as Ryan comforts her. He does feel bad for her, but that sneeze had been something else. It's no wonder she looks so miserable.]
She does look sick.
[It's hard to be sure how sick compared to the wild ones at a glance, but judging by what Ryan's telling him alongside the sheet of ice now coating their wall... Boo has it pretty bad.
Which sucks. He'd thought they'd been doing well, even with Ry and Min-un falling sick. It leaves him feeling more helpless than he's felt since they first heard about the outbreak.]
Has she been eating her oranges? I told her...

[It seemed like a good idea at the time, since she's an ice type and all. She likes sweet things too, so she's been enjoying her snacks.
Ryan gently rubs her back, rocking her a little bit in place - or as much as he can when she's as big as she is.]
We're gonna take super good care of you, okay? And you're gonna feel so much better, I promise...
[Then, to Min-Gi:]
We should probably move her to the sick room with everyone else, right? She's already sick and that way we can try and keep it away from the healthy ones.
no subject
[Too bad even enforced portions of vitamin C don't seem to have protected her. He feels kind of bad given it's more than likely his outings that have brought this into their home, but thankfully Ryan's taking action.
Min nods, standing aside so he can come through and heading down the hall to what's become the quarantine room.]
We probably should. I know we were more worried about Boo, but it'd still be better if we could keep the rest of them healthy...
