save our snorunts event log
Who: Everyone!
When: January 2-26
Where: Practically everywhere. Maybe not the volcano on Cinnabar Island.
What: Save those Snorunts!
OOC Info: here!
The hills are alive with the sound of… sneezing?
It’s almost a week into January, and trainers may have started to get nervous about the lack of Snorunts. Whether you’re excited to see them, or just want the metaphorical bomb to drop and be over with - the wait is finally done. Snorunts have started to make their way into town.
But instead of fortunes, what they have to give right now is coughs, bleary eyes, and sad little flops sideways into the snow. They’re not alone, either: every once in a while you’ll see an equally sick Glalie or Froslass. (Be careful - a sneezing Glalie is basically a wrecking ball waiting to happen, prone to launching itself backward! And if you’ve been struck by an odd spurt of bad luck, maybe you’ll be right in the way when it does…)
In cities across Johto and Kanto, and in field camps in between, Nurse Joys are scrambling to treat the miserable Ice Pokemon. But they’re direly in need of more helping hands. Will you pitch in?

Quatre put the fabric he was holding down before standing up and Gigi immediately pulled in closer and began to sleep on it too. Hopefully the Glalie weren't allergic to Espurr fluff.
"I can give it a try at least."
no subject
"If we don't find something here, I can ask around and see if anyone knows where we can find fabric to buy... we'd need a lot, so we should consider looking for bulk purchases."
no subject
"That would be helpful. Yes, we would need a lot with Glalie. We'd have to see how much it was."
Unfortunately, he didn't have as much money as he did back home, but he'd try to help.
no subject
She'd also developed some berry growing skills along the way to resell some of those, too.
"I think we could possibly find something at some of the stores nearby," she said, picking up her coat, gloves, and scarf. Her Skitty looked miffed at having been disturbed from her makeshift bed, but, once Romelle set her mind on something, it was hard to stop her.
no subject
"Yes, if they have it might be there. Let's go take a look. Gigi."
His Espurr yawned, but got up and tottled over. He was going to have to carry her now.
no subject
"Whenever you're ready," she said, and then followed Quatre outside. "There." She gestured over to another area of the town. There were a few small shops, and a PokéMart. "I already know that this Mart doesn't sell things like fabric and stuffing, but maybe one of the other ones might."
no subject
"I am ready," he said after getting his jacket and scarf on. "That's a good thought. Let's check there first. A larger store might have something."
no subject
no subject
"Have you seen anything like this before? All these sick Pokemon?"
no subject
"Mm-mm..." She frowned. "It's rather unusual. But it could just be an outbreak of something. Hopefully, it'll pass soon."
On the colony, they'd always been very careful about that sort of thing because there were so few of them, and they were closed in, isolated from anything else.
no subject
On the colonies he lived in, they had tried to be careful as well since that could have swept through them and killed many. On Earth, it was harder to control things like that.
no subject
"Though, it is spreading to others if they're exposed, so we should still be careful with our own Pokémon."
She gave a weak smile.
"Fingers crossed for luck..." she said softly as they entered the Mart in question.
no subject
He didn't want his little Gigi getting sick with whatever the Snorunts had.
"Yes, fingers crossed," Quatre replied as they entered. He paused a moment when they entered to look and see if they had any signage that might give an idea of where to go. Signage or not, there was nothing specific so he was going to head in the direction that seemed most promising.
no subject
So, she followed him, looking around at everything. Not that she hadn't been in any of the marts and stores here before, but it was all still rather fascinating to someone who had lived most of her life on an isolated and sheltered space colony that no one else in the universe knew about.
She kind of grew quiet at first, looking in awe... and then the questions started.
"Do you think we should consider getting some poffins or gateau for the sick Pokemon?" she asked, but quickly answered her own question, interrupting any attempt Quatre might have made at an answer. "Mm... no... they seem to have quite enough in the way of supplies at the medical tents, I think. Though... what if they run out? Do you think they might need our help with restocking? But they have people for that. I've seen a few people running back and forth to the marts already." She frowned a little. "Still, it couldn't hurt. They seem to really need help. And many hands make light work... maybe we could see if someone placed an order for pick up and bring it back with us? Though, the store might not let us pick it up because we're not the ones who ordered it. That would make sense, right? So that people don't just wander in and claim the orders for themselves to steal them. I could see Team Rocket doing something like that."
Quatre might have to jump in to stop her stream of consciousness babbling...
no subject
The sick ones... they probably shouldn't be eating treats when they needed to focus on other things.
"I would suspect they won't let us take any packages unless the Pokemon Center gives us permission. Like you said, it might seem like we are stealing them."
no subject
"Right. Of course." She nodded again. "You're right." She then gave him a thin smile. She was still rattling things around in her brain, but she had stopped spewing them out all over the place for the time being.
"We could just go look at some of the treats then, and see if there are any that we could grab in the meantime...?" Romelle sounded unsure. "Maybe like... good job on getting better? Here's a treat?"
no subject
"I think they might like treats. If nothing else, it would probably make them feel better when they are deemed well enough to eat it. I know a lot of people who want some sort of reward after getting better."
So far, he didn't see any of the fabric that they were looking for. He was still keeping an eye out for it.
no subject
"Then we'll grab some treats as well..." she said. "Though, I don't know... should we get a lot? Or..." She frowned a little in thought.
no subject
"Let's get some for the moment. That way they don't feel overwhelmed that we are suddenly bringing in a lot. If it was a good idea and they need more, we can always come to get it."
