save our snorunts event log
Who: Everyone!
When: January 2-26
Where: Practically everywhere. Maybe not the volcano on Cinnabar Island.
What: Save those Snorunts!
OOC Info: here!
The hills are alive with the sound of… sneezing?
It’s almost a week into January, and trainers may have started to get nervous about the lack of Snorunts. Whether you’re excited to see them, or just want the metaphorical bomb to drop and be over with - the wait is finally done. Snorunts have started to make their way into town.
But instead of fortunes, what they have to give right now is coughs, bleary eyes, and sad little flops sideways into the snow. They’re not alone, either: every once in a while you’ll see an equally sick Glalie or Froslass. (Be careful - a sneezing Glalie is basically a wrecking ball waiting to happen, prone to launching itself backward! And if you’ve been struck by an odd spurt of bad luck, maybe you’ll be right in the way when it does…)
In cities across Johto and Kanto, and in field camps in between, Nurse Joys are scrambling to treat the miserable Ice Pokemon. But they’re direly in need of more helping hands. Will you pitch in?

Oh wow, really? That's wonderful! Do you like observing any of the marine Pokemon?
no subject
Yeah, I do. I spend a lot of time on the waters and see all sorts of Pokemon. They act both really similarly and really different to normal animals. I have a penchant for Finizen since my first Pokemon was one... but I like observing Staryu and Starmie the most. They're so fascinating, especially for starfish.
[He tries to act cool but it's hard for him to not sound excited about starfish. Starfish definitely were his favourite but he loves his work too.]

Oooh yes! They're really fascinating, aren't they? Have you been to the research center? They have Pokemon with Dive and sometimes take trainers down to observe the deep sea Pokemon.
no subject
[Maybe when all of this over he should visit there again. It's been a few months...]
The whole concept of Dive is so bizarre to me but it opens so many avenues of research. And is just nice in general. There are just so many water Pokemon.

... Ah. I must have missed that on my first trip to Four Island.
... Guess I know where I'm going next time I have a free week.

[The Cherubi cheers, echoing his trainer's sentiment. He's so excited. If he was a more emotive man, he would be vibrating.]
I sometimes visit my daughter on Two Island. Her house goes into the ocean and you can see all sorts of things through the window. I can only imagine how cool the deep-sea layout will be.

Oh wow, that sound amazing! It must be so relaxing being able to sit and watch the ocean Pokemon swim by the window.
Shall we start wrapping up?
[Jotaro looks like he's about to talk about his research but he manages to stop himself just in time. He smiles.]
Sounds good!
[ Fluttershy definitely wouldn't mind hearing about his research, but she also doesn't want to ask if he doesn't want to share. But this was nice, and she had to admit that it certainly did help taking a break. ]

I should go. Enough meddling from me for one day. I'm supposed to get Drupe some food anyway.
[The Cherubi chirps from the bag, glad to be finally acknowledged. Jotaro smiles at him before he finally stands up.] If you ever are around Two Island or Four Island, see if I'm around. I won't say no to seeing a friendly face.
no subject
[ She definitely did need the break.
Fluttershy smiles at the offer. ] Of course. I actually live on Four Island, so let me know if you ever drop by. I can show you where the research center is.
no subject
[Jotaro tips his hat to her and smirks.] See you around, Fluttershy.
[Drupe chirps a goodbye and Jotaro walks off. The people here are so nice. Maybe it isn't bad to talk to people like that once in a while.]
