Hey - does anyone have Pokemon they're not making much use of that they'd like to trade? I've got a few... nothing wrong with them, but I feel like they're not getting the attention they deserve.

[Joseph takes a moment to sort through his Pokeballs while he's talking, which he should have done before recording. There is a Pidove perched on top of his head, who seems to just be calmly readjusting herself every time he moves.]

I've got... an Espurr, a Nymble and a Driftloon to share. And honestly, if anyone has a Pidove I'll give you all three. Vanity could use a buddy.

[A Midday Lycanroc noses her way into the frame, and shoves her face under Joseph's arm in search of scritches. It ends up looks very silly, and it's also obvious from the way she's moving that her tail is wagging furiously.]

Oh, and Aurora just evolved - everyone tell her how pretty she looks!

Hey. I've got a Starly that won't have anything to do with me. I caught 'em when everyone got sent back in time the FIRST time.

[He says that last bit with a little heat. He's still not forgiven that scientist.]

His name's Skipper. But you could probably change it since he doesn't answer to it.

Oh, a Starly! I haven't gotten one of those yet - but not to worry, birds love me. I uh... can't say the same for some of my other Pokemon.

[His Charmeleon isn't out at the moment... mostly for Joseph's own safety.]

I like birds, but I haven't really caught any besides him. He's from a world before people and Pokemon were friends, so you'll have your work cut out for you.

[He just wants to give this guy a fully warning unless he changes his mind later and wants to trade back.]

Well, my Charmeleon has some lasting issues from when I first got him... not my fault, mind, he's just a bit of a bastard.

[This is completely untrue, but Joseph has gotten better at animal handling so it's harder to tell.]

And I've got a Tyrunt who... I don't think anything's wrong with her, I think they're just like this. She's a menace and I can't eat anything without her coming out of her ball to beg. But damned if she hasn't been growing on me.

What's training a Nymble like? I've got one other bug, and she's been great.

Er... I actually haven't taken him out of the ball much since I got him. He creeps me out.

[That's what he gets for catching a Pokemon a whim.]

I can't decide if it's worse or better that all the bugs in this world are cat-sized, honestly.

Definitely better. You can see them. The worst thing about a brown recluse is that the little shit's fast as fuck and one minute you see it and the next, you don't. Spiders here can't hide and crawl on your face later.

[JW cuts the feed until about half an hour later. When the new video comes through, JW is inside the Goldenrod Pokemon Center.]

[It takes a little while longer for Joseph to get to a Pokemon Center, but he does get there! He's back in Ecruteak.]

Got it... you might have to walk me through this, I haven't actually done it before.

Actually, I could use some Fighting-types... I'll all set for the first two gyms but it wouldn't hurt to be prepared for the Goldenrod Gym.

[Somewhere in the background, Rush the Charmeleon can be heard hissing. Apparently he hasn't forgotten that rematch either.]

Jean is looking forward to it. But Jean's parent, Zubon, has been mostly sitting around doing nothing. I haven't even been really using him for breeding, considering that Jean is better for it.

That Scraggy is roughly the right level for your team. I don't mind trading your Nymble for him.

Too slow, kiddo - someone else already snapped him up, but the Espurr and Drifloon are still on the table.

[Oh, he actually hates calling him 'kiddo'. That's another one scratched off - he'll land on the right nickname eventually.]

Althooouughh, I'll be passing back through the area where I got Toy Soldier in a week or so, so I could always pick another one up for you.

You get around quick, gramps. [Look, Jotaro already said if JoJo uses 'kiddo', he will retaliate with 'gramps'. Thankfully for Jotaro, he doesn't feel bad calling him that too.]

Nah, that's fine. I'll take Drifloon then, I already have an Espurr. She was actually one of the first couple of Pokemon I caught here.

Alright then, the Driftloon's yours. His name's Aerosmith, but no need to keep it - I haven't had him in the team at all, so he doesn't know it.

Although I wouldn't mind practicing... there's not much incentive to work on your own physique around here.
