I bet everybody's heard the news by now, huh? I can't believe we can actually get our own gyms! Well, after you got all the badges and get through victory road, anyway.

...aaand I still got some I'm missin'.

[Jimmy laughs and rubs the back of his neck, shaking his head a little.]

It's hard not to get distracted when there's so much going on, I guess! Good news is that I only got two more left to get here around town, and I kinda was wantin' to get back on the road again anyway!

So! Me n' my team are gonna go to Cianwood first! I've kinda been really wantin' to try those warp pads out, so it's prolly not gonna be all that long of a trip or anything...but if anybody wants to come or if I could meet up with somebody somewhere, that'd be swell! It's more fun travelin' with a group, yaknow?

[Though he can a bit more easily than he used to...he still likes being around folks.]

Oh! One more thing!

Tooons of new people have been showin' up lately, and I haven't even been able to say hi to everyone! So: hi! My name is Jimmy Two-Shoes! It's awesmazing to meet all you guys, and I hope we can be great friends!

[There's a chorus of Pokemon noises from behind Jimmy (he looks to be in a Pokemon Center) of agreement before he turns off the feed.]

Are you going to have a type theme like all the other gym leaders? Or are you just going to use your favorite companions?

Oh man, I can't decide! I mean, I have enough to do a Fire type Gym...but Electric is really my favorite. But I don't wanna leave Honey, Lucky, Cherry, or any of my other Pokemon out!

Hm... what if you have two teams, like the gym leaders now do?

That way you can have one to fit your theme, and one for all the friends that you want to involve in your gym that don't fit that team!

That's a good idea! Maybe I could have one team be stronger than the other, yeah? That way, you could come battle me even if you weren't at so high of a level yet!

[He's so excited and he's not even in Cianwood yet, much less ready to challenge the gym.]

I know the gyms are supposed to be a challenge, but it's a bit unfair if they're too tough. What you suggest seems like the perfect compromise, that you can allow others to test themselves on a level they're comfortable with.

[Jimmy nods eagerly, ruffling the ears of his Manectric just off-screen.]

Course, that doesn't mean it's gonna be too easy. Gotta have some challenge, yaknow! But I think just getting to battle people more often would be real fun.

Oh, well of course! But I don't think it should be the sort of challenge that would be impossible if someone were to challenge the gyms out of order. Don't you think?

[After all, it would be a bit of a hassle if someone decided well into their traveling journey that they wanted to take on the gyms, only to see they had to backtrack all the way to Violet City to start...]

Ooh yeah, you do have a point. I ended up challenging the gyms outta order too, so that would be really helpful for people who just want to hop around from city to city.

So that's like...if I started up a gym in Blackthorn, but made sure all my team members were no higher than level 40 or something!

Precisely!

... That does bring up a good question, though. Do you think we'd be able to set up shop in a town that already has a gym? If not, that would make space very limited, depending on who wants to take on this challenge...
