I bet everybody's heard the news by now, huh? I can't believe we can actually get our own gyms! Well, after you got all the badges and get through victory road, anyway.

...aaand I still got some I'm missin'.

[Jimmy laughs and rubs the back of his neck, shaking his head a little.]

It's hard not to get distracted when there's so much going on, I guess! Good news is that I only got two more left to get here around town, and I kinda was wantin' to get back on the road again anyway!

So! Me n' my team are gonna go to Cianwood first! I've kinda been really wantin' to try those warp pads out, so it's prolly not gonna be all that long of a trip or anything...but if anybody wants to come or if I could meet up with somebody somewhere, that'd be swell! It's more fun travelin' with a group, yaknow?

[Though he can a bit more easily than he used to...he still likes being around folks.]

Oh! One more thing!

Tooons of new people have been showin' up lately, and I haven't even been able to say hi to everyone! So: hi! My name is Jimmy Two-Shoes! It's awesmazing to meet all you guys, and I hope we can be great friends!

Geez, they're totally being unfair to us newbies! We've only been here for a month, so there's no way we can gain all of those badges so quickly...I mean, I haven't even beaten Violet yet! [ Or reached it, for that matter. She's still in Cherrygrove, waiting to finally be brought to Goldenrod, the city of her dreams...but with the recent announcement, Minako's finding herself chasing after a new dream. Still, she huffs. ] Don't you think that's the worst? I wanna have my own gym, too! By the time I even get all of those badges, it'll be completely out of style to own your own gym, and I'll be the laughing stock of the century...! Trust me, once you start training up your team real good? Those gyms will go by a lot faster than you think they will.

[ She's a breeder...in retrospect, this shouldn't even be that important to her, but fine, if she can't obtain her dream of being a famous idol, she'll just have to be a popular gym leader instead! ]

...You're right! I can't give up now! I'm ashamed of myself for even thinking about giving up! [ She wasn't, really. Drama queen. ] I just have to keep training, and the next thing you know, Johto will be taken by the storm that is me, Minako Aino, gym leader-to-be! But I don't even know what I'd specialize in...or what to name my gym...but whatever it is, it has to have an amazing name so that everyone remembers it, y'know? Oh, I have to give everything so much thought...

Uh huh! They’re real new, actually. Like, “they weren’t here before we went to prom” new. Before, the only way you could really get to towns quick like that was Teleporting if you had a Pokemon that could do it, so I think it’s pretty neat to have!

[Especially for newer folk who might not be able to fly around the region just yet.]

Those warp pads do look fun and useful, at least for those of us who can use them. Are you going to take the easy way and challenge all the Gyms at the initial level, or are you going to try your luck against those Elite teams along the way?

I dunno! Most of my Pokemon are pretty strong now, and I've gotten badges from both regions...

Guess it depends on whether you'd rather earn the badges quickly, or get experience against stronger teams along the way.

[Which just makes choosing even harder.]

I'm done with Johto, but I haven't gotten started on Kanto yet. To be honest, I ended up spending months in Fuchsia just because I couldn't make up my mind about it. Still haven't, really.

Are you going to have a type theme like all the other gym leaders? Or are you just going to use your favorite companions?

Oh man, I can't decide! I mean, I have enough to do a Fire type Gym...but Electric is really my favorite. But I don't wanna leave Honey, Lucky, Cherry, or any of my other Pokemon out!

Hm... what if you have two teams, like the gym leaders now do?

That way you can have one to fit your theme, and one for all the friends that you want to involve in your gym that don't fit that team!

Ha! About time, huh? Been waiting at least four years for this to happen. Be glad you don't have all the badges yet, 'cause after I ran out of gyms to fight, that was one less challenge to deal with.

Think Sora's still got a buttload of badges to catch up on, so who knows? Maye we'll bump into each other on the way. The warp pads do seem like they'd make thigns easier.
