[He's... been thinking about this. And he knows his own thoughts on the matter. He's keeping the 'Gear away from Alice on this one, though. He doesn't really want her to read it.]

Have you ever had a Pokemon that's practically family? More than a pet or friend or working partner. They have their own thoughts and feelings, and the Psychic-type ones are particularly good at expressing their thoughts.

Some of us have been here for years, after all, and some of us have had Pokemon we've grown close to. It's not like I want to marry my Pokemon or something, but it's... strange.

Maybe I'm more at home here than I thought.

Just because it seemed to be so natural for you to say that, I was wondering if you treated non-human creatures like that in your world, too.

I do sometimes forget that there's a large percentage of non-human Trainers here.

I know that. It's just that many people here don't appear to be something other than human, so sometimes it's difficult to know exactly how many people here weren't originally human.

... That's a good question. I guess if you were similar in appearance to a human it wouldn't be that big of a change, other than losing any abilities you might have had.
