3rd Zapfish [Video, Ecruteak City]

[There's not much snow on the ground in Ecruteak City, since it is early in the season, but there's enough that the Luxray and Granbull the video opens up on are rolling in it not far from the Pokemon Center, the latter with much more energy than the former. Still, both seem to like the cold stuff on their fur, and they look pretty happy about it.

Whoever is filming them from afar does not. There's a sigh, and a slight chattering of teeth.]

Snowed last night. [It's Thida's voice. Her voice is...quiet, subdued. Maybe even a bit strained.] Like it here...but, 's there a place with no snow?

Iiinkay. [Ah, looks like Maika is there too. One of her tentacles wraps around to grasp at the 'gear, and she turns it to her. There has never been a more serious little look on an Inkay's face in all the world.] Ink, inkay iiink. Kay!

[For the Pokemon here, she's said, "Trainer's depressed. It's very bad, I dunno what to do. Please help!"]

Welllll, somewhere super hot probably wouldn't have any! [ Probably. Aligula hums softly, thinking about it. ] And inside, of course. Ooh, snow and cold doesn't matter either if you have someone to cuddle with too! Got anyone super special, chilly girl?

[Meaning she can still SEE the snow.]

[ boo, pokémon are awful company. source: she has two, one is kinda cute but likes scaring the bajeezus out of her and everyone else, the other aggressively shows-off for her. ]

Then don't sit by 'em and you'll be all cozy and like, won't even have to think about it! Put on some shows, like, I dunno... Do they got The Bachelorette or anything like that here?

[Obviously you haven't found any good ones yet. Thida's team is half troublemakers, half hellraisers, but they're all quite nice to spend time with.

She pauses, the winter gear she's been wrapped in rustling a little.] Dunno. 'S a TV thing, right? Don't watch it.

[ a small gasp!!! like she's... offended and surprised all in one. ]

Why wouldn't you though! TV's, like, totally the best for... everything! [ or... something, she just likes it and finds it hella useful. there is some predictability and it's boring, but whatever. ]

Couldn't 'ford one.

[It's said very matter-of-factly. The "duh" is inherent.]

You can afford one now though, can't you? And catch up on all the good shows! And the totally bad ones! Or whatever kind they have here!

...Where would I put it?

[She doesn't even bother with the "No, can't afford it still" because Christmas.]

...In your room? [ ???? ] Wait, don't tell me you don't even have a place to stay!

Stayin' at th'Pokemon Center.

[I mean it's not...like she's sleeping outside? And the Joys are super duper nice and probably kind of pity the awkward kid.]

[ Oh... ........... ]

So you're like, a total charity case! How sad. [ ...except it really doesn't sound sympathetic or pitying or anything, it's totally unconcerned. ] Are houses expensive here or something? Can't you just, like, totally commandeer an empty one? It's not like anyone'd be using it, after all!

[Mmm...good thing this isn't a video, or Aligula might be seeing the flattest stare she's ever encountered on a person.]
