[The video starts with a view of the ocean, sparkling and blue, clearly taken from the deck of a ship. Winged Pokemon dip and wheel in the sky, and off in the distance, a friendly-looking Wailord surfaces, spouting water into the air before diving back under the waves.]
[Then the camera pans around, and shows the deck of the ship. It's the ferry to Vermillion City, and the deck has several beach chairs set up on it, all in a neat row. Lounging in each one is an Electrode, soaking up the sun and enjoying life. A little Lotad weaves between the chairs, carrying a tray of drinks on its back, and the Electrodes shift to the sides of the chairs to take a sip out of conveniently-placed straws before settling back in to relax. Are some of the Electrodes wearing shutter shades? Does a Bewear poop in the woods?]
[When Jean speaks, he sounds very pleased with himself.]
Does anyone recognize these guys?
[Well, they probably recognize the littlest one, who just rolled across the deck, all puffed up with self-importance, a Pokepuff hanging out the side of his mouth. Hello, Blitz.]
These are the Electrodes Team Rocket was using to power their cage. They don't even look like the same Pokemon, do they?
[They do not.]
We're taking them back to the electric plant. So if anyone was wondering what happened to them, they're going home.
[And with his civic diligence done, Jean turns off the video.]

Damn Jean! They look amazing. Good job man, you'd have never guessed they had been in Team Rocket's hands. [ He has a serious lot of respect to Jean for helping them out as he did and it clearly shows when Ash calls him. They do look 110% better.
] Whereabouts is home for those guys? Hard to imagine when you'd find them in the wild.

Thank you.
[Jean doesn't even bother trying to keep the pride out of his voice. He's done well by these Electrodes, and he knows it.]
They live near an electric plant in Kanto. That's where we're taking them.

Shit, I should drop by sometime. I don't have any electric Pokemon yet, and the bloody bird gym leader wrecked me. He mentioned electric types zapping birds and it being an 'insult to the magnificent bird pokemon'.
[ He's not plotting revenge that would be a terrible thing to do ]

Action;
It's really remarkable how much better they look. I didn't think you would be able to do this much in such a short time.
Action;
[Jean turns and flashes Armin a quick smile. It means a lot to have his hard work acknowledged, especially by someone he's grown to respect a lot more lately.]
It's like I said in the Rocket basement: they're not bad Pokemon. They just need to be given a chance.
Action;
How did you get them to trust you? I've been working with Nemesis, but I'm afraid we haven't made the same progress yet.

[Thida sure looks impressed by how chilled out the Electrodes have become. Jean has to have some sort of magic with them, it's the only explanation.]
Their home's far away, huh?
[Video]
[Very happy balls!]
Yeah, all the way on Kanto. So we're going there to let them free.

Probably not. With them spreading out, his legend spreads too, which will make him happy.

[They look like so... natural with them.]
That's one way to build a legacy, I guess. I wonder if it will cross the species barrier around their home.

It's a spark ball holiday!
[Ugh, look at those champs. What a good, heartwarming scene.]
video;
Hey!
[Jean is delighted that Krieg is contacting him, so much so that he doesn't even notice that the biggest, roughest Electrode--who is currently sporting a swag pair of lime green shutter shades--perks up at the sound of Krieg's voice and rolls off his chair, approaching behind Jean's back.]
Look what hatched today!
[Jean bends down and scoops something up, before proudly holding a Torchic up to the communicator.]
Krieg, meet Death Chicken.
video;
Mnahahahaha! Like father like son! Look at that!
[His last statement is addressed to said father, and he pivots his own 'Gear and holds it out to his Blaziken, who - more than used to these shenanigans by now - leans in to peer dutifully at the screen. When he sees the Torchic in Jean's hands, his entire body seems to light up and he squawks approvingly before addressing a few short but no doubt important remarks to the baby.
Be sure to grow up smart and strong! Sparky's a good guy but he needs a lot of looking after - I know you'll do great!
...Krieg's pokemon sure have picked up their trainer's nicknames for other humans. Welp.]

I'm glad someone's helping them. They look so happy!
[video]
Thank you.
[Yeah, Jean is just going to preen a little here. Yes, he has done a good job, hasn't he? Continue to lavish him with compliments and praise, please.]
They're all happy and healthy now. No more living in cages for them!
[Video]
Releasing 'em, huh?
That's real cool of you-- as long as you let them keep those shades.
I'm not sure they'll be able to go back to being shadeless wild Pokemon after being that fashionable.
[Video]
Yeah, all the ones that don't want to have a trainer.
[Which is only a couple. Most of them have befriended one of Jean's friends and are going to new homes.]
And I couldn't take those glasses back if I tried. I put them on as a joke, but now they really like them and won't give them back.
[Video]
Look at them, they're cooler than I have ever been, in my life.
And that's saying something.

And even behind her is another scruffy looking Electrode, separated on his own from the rest of the relaxing group, rolling ever so close to Sasha's ankles, just enough that with every step, she can feel him bump into the backs of her legs. If he looks familiar to her or Jean, it's because it's the same Electrode she first fed berries back when they rescued the group and it seems he's either gotten very greedy with the generous supply of almost never-ending food from Sasha or he has other reasons she can't figure out.
Whatever his mission is, Sasha stops mid-stride and turns to him, stooping down to his level.]
You don't have to follow me everywhere. You'll get a puff too. Go play with your friends. Take a nap. I'll make sure you get one.

[In fact, that particular Electrode has been very clear about how it prefers Sasha to everyone else. So much so that Jean hasn't bothered to name it, or decide if it's a boy or a girl.]
I mean, it's greedy and wants a puff too, but it's also tagging along because it likes you. You should pet it and spend some time with it.
[And then eventually adopt it, obviously.]
