[Well, there's one more badge down. Time to move on again. And stop waiting around, once more.]

Shiro here. I'm finally on my way to Goldenrod. So... anyone I promised I'd stop in and see, I'll let you know when I get there. But I don't think I'll be sticking around like I planned, after all.

[Because after repeated attempts to contact the person he'd thought would be most excited about this development didn't go through... well. It just sort of feels hollow.]

Thank you. I've already got those two actually. If you end up taking on more gyms after Goldenrod, I'd be grateful for information on those though. Right now, we're challenging gyms in Kanto. I'm not sure if we got lucky with the type match ups or if our pokemon are just so much stronger, but so far we've done well here.

That's what I've got to keep telling myself.

There are some pokemon here I've never seen before in Johto. The buildings look more modern too. But then. Everything still looks really strange and unreal to me to some degree.

[He came from Ye Olden Days. All this gleam and shine and curved buildings and electricity and what not is really not what he is used to. After nine months in this world he's more used to it, but still, sometimes he marvels.]

More modern? They must be something more like what I'm used to then. Maybe. Found any more whales?

Sadly enough the streams here are not big enough to support whales. I did find a few of these pokemon.

They reminded me a little of the tadpoles Eren and I used to catch.

I'm planning on it, but not right now. They are supposed to be fairly common. So I should be able to find them all around. I'd love to raise one, but I've got several other pokemon I'm working with too. And last week Mr Pines gave me an egg. Do you want one? I could catch one for you, if you want.

Maybe. I don't have any swimmers on my team. Kuro, Cubone and Red all hate it, too. We've got an egg we're looking after though, so maybe I should wait to see what comes out of it. But thanks.

It's no problem. If you ever change your mind, I'm sure I can find more of them around here. They really are pretty fascinating. Did you know the spiral on its belly isn't actually a marking at all? It's actually its internal organs showing through the thin translucent skin of its belly. If you watch very closely, you can actually see it pulse slightly.

Armin I I'm really glad you're taking an interest in studying these guys but also that's really creepy on a lot of levels I think I'll pass on the tadpoles
