6th Match // [video] Violet
[The video starts off with one supremely zoomed-in eye - Krieg's eye, surrounded as usual by the eyehole of his mask. Once the device is going he pulls back to a slightly less uncomfortable distance (for the viewer, anyway, let's be real here), and announces:]
MnahahAHAHA! THERE'S NO FENCE ON THIS FENCE!
[That is one proud Psycho. He flips the 'Gear so that it no longer displays his mask-covered face (you're welcome), but instead one (1) Electrode, looking like a very smug asshole, and one (1) enormous - well. That has to be a Muk, no Grimer is that big. One Muk, looking very pleased, and...just a tiny bit demure? Well, it sure is nice to know at least one of Krieg's Pokemon has some modesty.]
The Spark Ball and the Slag Stack owned the birds!
[Spark Ball lights up briefly with a crackle of smug static, while Slag Stack seems to gather itself up as if to sit (or stand?) a bit straighter, and wave one oozing limb at the camera. They are the champions, yes, it is true!]
The bug gym is next!
[Only Krieg could make a harmless announcement sound like a threat.
...But, let's be real, here; now that the Vault Crew is taking on the Gym Challenge, the bug gym's days are numbered.]

video;
Hey, congrats. You're catching up to us already.
video;
It's good to be moving again!
[Life on Pandora was all about moving - mostly because if you sat on your butt too long your chances of being murdered rapidly increased, but still.]
video;
They're weak against fire, by the way.
video;
[Oh, man, he's excited. It's gonna be so good, Shiro.]
You still in Goldenrod?
video;
[He hasn't seen said chicken in a while.]
Almost there now.

It's almost as good as the Circle of Slaughter!
[No Pokemon battle will ever compare simply because, as much fun as the Pokemon battles are, not being allowed to directly participate dampens his enjoyment somewhat.]
Did you fight your fight, yet?
video;
Lots of fun, right?
[He hasn't been to a Circle of Slaughter, but that sounds like something Krieg would enjoy, so he's glad his friend had a good time.]
Yeah! I have the Thunder Badge now!
[Which he tried to sweet-talk out of Lt. Surge, but the guy insisted on battling him anyway. No big thing, Jean took him down without too much trouble.]
Slag Stack evolved! He looks great!
video;
[Which, yeah, is lots of fun.]
Mnahahaha...! I bet the fight was electric!
[...Krieg, please. That was really, really bad. Luckily - probably - Slag Stack heard his name, so he's approached to see what's what! His investigation begins by oozing abruptly into Krieg's lap and quickly concludes with basically taking over the entire video feed with a cheerful cry of, "Muk muuuk!"
Krieg merely laughs again, even as he's enveloped in friendly sludge.]
He's even better than advertised!

Her excitement doesn't show as much as Krieg's, of course, but there's a grin crossing her face as she fixes the Zephyr Badge to her pack.]
It's cute that they call this a challenge.
[video]
[He's right there with you, Athena.]
Maybe it is if you're a baby!
[Since, he's noticed, the majority of people actually native to this world who challenge the gyms are literal children.]
[video]
[Looks like they're on the same wavelength here.]
... The next one will likely go down the same way. Bug isn't exactly the strongest type out there.
[video]
[Krieg, please, stop implying you're gonna let MC eat Bugsy's team...]
Crispy fried, slow roasted, baked, pan-seared, skewered, and barbecued!!
[Krieg, please.]

[Thida looks positively enthused at the idea that her friend is also taking the badge challenge. She gives Krieg a big grin and a thumbs up at the news, the hubub of the Ecruteak City Pokemon Center only beginning to gear up for the morning.]
Cool!!
[Video]
[Heck yeah, his monsters are awesome!]
Where are you?
[He sees the Pokemon Center behind her, and thinks maybe it looks like the one in Ecruteak, but honestly all Centers look kind of the same to him, so who even knows?]

[And congratulations for having the fortitude necessary to raise a Muk, but let's keep that quiet.]
Have you already selected your team for Azalea's Gym, or is it still a work in progress?
[video]
[Aww, Cecil, he remembers your strong dislike of Grimers. What impressive self-control, not to say anything at all faced with the sight of Krieg's enormous Muk.]
Mnuhuhuhuu...The bugs'll make a good snack for the Murder Chicken.
[NEGL, he's super pumped to let his starter have all the glory.]
[video]
[A+ monster parenting, good job!]
A very solid plan. I'm sure he'll enjoy the exercise, and the opportunity to have his skills officially recognized.
[video]
I can't wait to let him fight! It's gonna be a fire blast!
[...Wow that was terrible.]

I've never bothered.

Why not?

I find no joy in battling for sport, that's all.

[He tilts his head to one side as he considers her response to his question, takes a moment or so to think, then blinks and nods.]
Fighting's not for everyone.
