[So someone looks a little stunned based on what he just heard. He'd joked around about making a Flying-type gym, but that was just a joke, right?]

[Right?]

So. Uh. I guess I have work to do. Joker? I'm taking a break from the circus. Everyone else? I've got the Zephyr, Hive, Plain, Storm, and Fog Badges. That means I have Mineral, Glacier, and Rising left in Johto.

Anyone want to come with me? I'm guessing a bunch of us really want to challenge the gym leaders now, so we might as well travel together. I'm in Goldenrod right now, but I'm getting ready to head out.

[His own gym. It's... a little hard to believe, but it's something to shoot for. And he's been looking for a goal for a while, so...]

How about a deal where if someone defeats you in an official challenge, they get a free pass?

It would be like the TMs and HMs the gym leaders now give out, in terms of how valuable the prize is.

[There's a pause as Elsa tries to recall all the flying-type moves she knows... then ping! Lightbulb.]

Isn't there a flying type move called Acrobatics? That seems like the perfect TM to offer at a gym with a circus theme!

Which ones to you have left? The ones in Kanto? I imagine that's where everyone will be flocking to in the coming weeks, to finish up their badge quests...

Blackthorn is the dragon gym, correct? If you have any ice-types, that shouldn't be a problem at all.

[Elsa... would be lying if she said she didn't want to try out the gym thing whenever she and Anna made it to that city.]

Oh, right, you need some of those badges to use those HMs that allow you to travel easier, correct? It seems a bit odd that you need specific badges, rather than a certain number of them...

Ice and fairy, correct. They're also weak to their own type, I believe.

[Elsa has a bit of a glint in her eye now, oh boy... it's not often she really gets into battling outside of training, but once she gets on the topic of ice-types...!]

I'd be careful with Aurorus, though. I think some of that gym leader's dragons are also water-types? That might be a bit dangerous, with Aurorus being part rock as well.

Oh, that's fine! If you travel east from Mahogany Town, you'll see a cave system called Ice Path. There should be plenty of ice-types to find in there!

Snover and Snorunt are very good choices for ice-type companions. It takes them some time to evolve, but if you catch a female Snorunt, you can evolve her into a different form if you have a Dawn Stone!

I was given a Snorunt as my starter, and Snover hatched from an egg I received for my first Christmas in Johto. They've been formidable companions of mine ever since.

I... haven't actually been there, but I speak with the trainers coming from the eastern cities often. Some of them have mentioned finding them there, but not many, so I think they might be a bit of a rare species.
