[An egg is shown, nestled in blankets on the bed. Beside it, Skadi, Elsa's Vulpix, is laying and staring at the egg. It moves every now and then, sometimes a little more vigorously than others. If one listens closely, they might hear faint noises. Skadi perks up every now and then, staring curiously at it.
Elsa shifts the focus to herself, unable to hide her excited smile. ]
I think Absol might be hatching soon! I've never seen an egg hatch before, so I'm really looking forward to it. And Absol seems like such a lovely species. I think we'll all get along well!
[She looks thoughtful for a moment, before she continues.]
I think if it's a boy, his name is going to be Heimdall- it just seems fitting. I hope he likes it...
[Elsa trails off, trying to think of what else to say before deciding a small update is in order.]
Oh- for anyone who might have wondered, Anna and I have been in Cherrygrove a little while now. The spa here is wonderful, I felt so rejuvenated! We both needed it after all that walking.

[Elsa has the gear pointed at the egg again, preferring to keep the attention off of herself now that she's made her video. There's only so long she feels comfortable showing her face, it's still a bit uncomfortable for her.
Skadi has taken to batting at the egg lightly with her paw, almost as if she's playing with Absol already. It makes Elsa chuckle.]

[She gives him a small smile.]
Have you named yours?

[It's said sincerely though, as usual, Newt isn't looking directly at Elsa, his gaze fixed slightly over her shoulder.
Eye contact is hard, alright.
Beside him rests his own Absol that had hatched just that morning, the canine-like Pokemon seated beside him with it's head tilted. Resting in the wizard's lap is an egg that's carefully wrapped up in his jacket and very now and then it gives a shake.]
Are you going to go with something mythological for a female as well?
[It's a really validating thing to say, and Elsa appreciates it a lot. She takes a second to admire Newt's Absol quietly, a small smile forming. It makes her even more excited for her own to hatch.
After a moment, she'll turn the camera back to the egg- she understands how awkward eye contact can be, especially through a device such as this. Face-to-face is considerably less awkward.]
I haven't given it much thought, I was so set on it being a boy...
[Setting the gear down so that it's left pointing at the egg still, Elsa reaches for a notebook she's been jotting down miscellaneous notes.
She has a whole page dedicated to potential names, just in case she acquires something spur of the moment, a bit like she'd done with Bounsweet.]
Let's see. Maybe- hmm. Hlín?
Her admission about wanting it to be a boy gets a gentle chuckle out of him.]
Perhaps you will get your wish. It never hurts to be prepared, though.
[Thankfully Newt has a vast history of witches and wizards he can pull names from; it's just a matter of deciding which names suit which Pokemon.
The egg in his lap gives another shake and draws Newt's attention away from the video, though he is listening because he heard that familiar sound of pages flipping.]
Another lovely choice. A fan of mythology?
Well, at least she was polite enough not to sneeze on the egg. Elsa is grateful for that. After chuckling to herself, Elsa replies to him.]
Yes, actually- well, it's more like I had... quite a lot of free time growing up, so I did a lot of reading. I would read about all the myths and legends when I was ahead on my studies.
[She doesn't say it, but a part of her was looking for reasons as to why she... was the way she was. But that's not a conversation for acquaintances.]
And they make for some really great names, as it turns out.

[She holds up pictures of a teeny tiny Rockruff which is clearly shy to be on camera.]
Rusty! I got his egg from this cool girl Diana! She's got all kinds of dogs!

[Elsa beams, leaning in to get a better look.]
What species is he?

[She turns the camera to an empty part of her messy hotel room and throws her pokeball letting out the fluffy wolfish pokemon who sees the camera, lets out an adorable yelp and shuffles shyly behind a desk.]
Aw it's ok little buddy! This is a new friend!
no subject
Aw, he's so shy... [Elsa gives him a small wave, still chuckling.] I know how you feel, I don't like people seeing me on here much either sometimes.

Mine isn't wiggling or anything! Do you think...what if there's something wrong? What if I'm totally messing it up?
[action]
[Elsa moves over to sit at the edge of Anna's bed, looking between Anna and the Deerling egg she's so worried about. Elsa reaches out and places a hand on it- temperature feels fine, the egg itself looks fine, Elsa is sure it's fine.]
I've seen you doting over it when you think I'm not looking, you've been wonderful! It probably just needs a little extra time.
[As if sensing Anna could use a little more validation, Skadi gracefully leaps from one bed to the other and slips next to Anna, giving her a gentle nuzzle with her nose.]
See? Skadi agrees.
[action]
I—I don't know what you mean! [But she's chuckling. She's been caught. The giggling only increases when she feels Skadi's wet little nose on her arm.]
Thanks, both of you. I guess I'm just nervous I'll do something wrong!
[action]
I know, but you just have to have a little faith in yourself. [She hesitates, before adding,] I'm worried, too. Not just about Absol, but for all of my Pokemon.
You and I never had any pets growing up, so it's a learning experience for both of us, isn't it? How do we know if we're doing it right?

Kind of one-person Pokemon, though. They get real attached to their trainers.

[She smiles.]
I just hope he gets along with Skadi.
What kind of Pokemon is Skadi?
[Elsa takes a moment to point the camera at Skadi, her snow white Vulpix who's watching the egg carefully.]
This is Skadi, she's the Pokemon I arrived here with!

Get yourself a mount Pokemon, you won't have to walk everywhere.
[Says the man that pays for rentals to avoid having to walk or bike anywhere himself.]
Video
But it's the other tidbit that has her interested.]
A mount-? You mean like a horse?

Oh, are you there? Then I'll send a care package along to help the relaxation, some nice chocolate should do you well.
[She just...says that! With definite determination that she's going to do it, no matter what!]
Oh, thank you! Chocolate sounds lovely right now!
[It feels like it's been ages since Elsa's had chocolate, so it's got her excited.]
How have you been since we last talked?
