[An egg is shown, nestled in blankets on the bed. Beside it, Skadi, Elsa's Vulpix, is laying and staring at the egg. It moves every now and then, sometimes a little more vigorously than others. If one listens closely, they might hear faint noises. Skadi perks up every now and then, staring curiously at it.

Elsa shifts the focus to herself, unable to hide her excited smile. ]

I think Absol might be hatching soon! I've never seen an egg hatch before, so I'm really looking forward to it. And Absol seems like such a lovely species. I think we'll all get along well!

[She looks thoughtful for a moment, before she continues.]

I think if it's a boy, his name is going to be Heimdall- it just seems fitting. I hope he likes it...

[Elsa trails off, trying to think of what else to say before deciding a small update is in order.]

Oh- for anyone who might have wondered, Anna and I have been in Cherrygrove a little while now. The spa here is wonderful, I felt so rejuvenated! We both needed it after all that walking.

Heimdall is a rather splendid name choice for a creature such as an Absol.

[It's said sincerely though, as usual, Newt isn't looking directly at Elsa, his gaze fixed slightly over her shoulder.

Eye contact is hard, alright.

Beside him rests his own Absol that had hatched just that morning, the canine-like Pokemon seated beside him with it's head tilted. Resting in the wizard's lap is an egg that's carefully wrapped up in his jacket and very now and then it gives a shake.]

Are you going to go with something mythological for a female as well?

[It's a really validating thing to say, and Elsa appreciates it a lot. She takes a second to admire Newt's Absol quietly, a small smile forming. It makes her even more excited for her own to hatch.

After a moment, she'll turn the camera back to the egg- she understands how awkward eye contact can be, especially through a device such as this. Face-to-face is considerably less awkward.]

I haven't given it much thought, I was so set on it being a boy...

[Setting the gear down so that it's left pointing at the egg still, Elsa reaches for a notebook she's been jotting down miscellaneous notes.

She has a whole page dedicated to potential names, just in case she acquires something spur of the moment, a bit like she'd done with Bounsweet.]

Let's see. Maybe- hmm. Hlín?

[Face-to-face is..well. Sometimes less awkward. If you aren't Newt Scamander.

Her admission about wanting it to be a boy gets a gentle chuckle out of him.]

Perhaps you will get your wish. It never hurts to be prepared, though.

[Thankfully Newt has a vast history of witches and wizards he can pull names from; it's just a matter of deciding which names suit which Pokemon.

The egg in his lap gives another shake and draws Newt's attention away from the video, though he is listening because he heard that familiar sound of pages flipping.]

Another lovely choice. A fan of mythology?

[Elsa smiles at his approval, setting her notebook down and re-positioning the camera a little better as Skadi starts to bat at the egg with her paw. After a moment, she turns her head and sneezes off to the side, dusting the wall with a light sprinkle of snow.

Well, at least she was polite enough not to sneeze on the egg. Elsa is grateful for that. After chuckling to herself, Elsa replies to him.]

Yes, actually- well, it's more like I had... quite a lot of free time growing up, so I did a lot of reading. I would read about all the myths and legends when I was ahead on my studies.

[She doesn't say it, but a part of her was looking for reasons as to why she... was the way she was. But that's not a conversation for acquaintances.]

And they make for some really great names, as it turns out.

[Oh no. Oh no that Vulpix is absolutely precious Newt's heart is melting.]

[How are Pokemon all so adorable? This is why he has so many companions.]

So a bit of a past time then. [Much like his own desire to read everything he could get his hands on about different creatures.] Mythology, as a whole, is full of rather fantastic names for individuals. I hadn't considered using any but I may have to rethink that should I end up stumped at any point. I've mostly been using names of historical figures, myself.

[Elsa knows exactly how you feel, Newt. She told herself no more, and yet here she is with a growing number of Pokemon. It's hard and everyone understands, she can't say they don't.

Skadi acknowledges Newt's comment by flicking her tail in his direction followed by a gentle "vuuulpix", before she settles back down to watch over the egg. It's almost like she's trying to be the big sister, just like Elsa.]

It's true! I feel like I'll never run out of names at this rate. What kinds of names have you given yours?

I have mostly been using names from history--various witches and wizards that did things of great note.

[He smiles a bit sheepishly.]

Most of my companions have enjoyed the stories behind the names. Even some of my less frequent visitors have allowed me to give them a name because of their interest.

[Witches and wizards? That has Elsa interested for sure. A part of her wants to ask, but she doesn't want to pry, either. It's his world, she can't be too nosy. It's so fascinating how everyone's worlds are so incredibly different.]

That's wonderful! Maybe I should start educating mine on the meanings behind their names, too. They might enjoy the stories.

[She pauses.]

If I may, you mentioned witches and wizards, though?

Pokemon seem to be just as interested in where we all come from as we are about them so I have no doubts they would enjoy it.

[At least most Pokemon. There were plenty that could be a little difficult to engage but it just took time and patience.]

Hm? Oh, yes, I..well I come from a world where the magical world exists alongside the Muggle world--normal world, I suppose would be an easier way of putting it. I..ah..I am a wizard myself, actually, though like everyone else it seems as though my abilities have been rendered inaccessible.

[Elsa doesn't know how to react to this information. There's only one person here who she's told of her own powers here, so the idea of someone else having powers has piqued her interest considerably.]

Oh, wow.

[She doesn't know what else to say.]

That's incredible. Is that normal in your world? Are there many?

[Her keen interest in the subject is probably giving away that there's a little more to her questioning than just simple curiosity, but she can't help it.]

Normal? Yes, I suppose it is. The wizarding community is quite large and every country has their own branch of the community, I suppose you could say. The history of witches and wizards dates back to Ancient Egyptian times, actually.

[Everything he's ever read or learned about has always included magic in some capacity. It's still strange to him meeting people here that have never encountered such a thing.

Not that it's the case with Elsa but he doesn't know that yet.]

Are..does your world not have magic?
