[There was no lead-up to Angel's post this time. By now, though the ache of her loss still lingered, she'd grown numb to these announcements.]
I lost another friend today. [A Chikorita looked up from Angel's lap, head tilting. Its... slightly lopsided face looked sad. Behind them, a Jangmo-o fussed with a pokeball, actively avoiding looking at the camera.]
Anders has left this place. I... can only hope things are better for him back home than they were when he left.

I hope so too.

[ He sighed heavily. ] It seems many people have left recently.

[Seriously. She can only imagine how the other young woman must be feeling right now.]

[Standing nearby because of course she is.]
The least this place could do is give us some friggin' warning. Then we could have had a going away party or something.
[Not like she knew Anders but she's getting pretty pissed off at how fast Angel's losing friends these days.]
[bless u gaige]
[At least with Athena and Janey, Angel knew that they had each other, and weren't facing certain condemnation, perhaps even death.]
[ She's clingy, it's how she rolls]
...hey wait...I can't believe I never thought to ask this but, has anyone ever left here and then come back before?

[With Anders, she wasn't so sure.]

[Not in the safety kinda sense, anyway.]
But... I guess not all situations will be like that. I wish there was something to do about that.

[He hadn't met the guy, but ... this is never easy to hear. What he asks next is, basically, an instinctive question at this point. He's got to ask.]
Are you going to be all right?
Video
And every time I just... don't know.
[Her head dipped out of the frame, coming to rest in her hands for the time being.]

[The words aren't just a platitude. Not for him. They're coming from... someone who knows that feeling.]
[When you want to say the right thing, or be the way people hope. But you don't know if you can say so.]
Just... take it slow.

I'm sorry to hear that. He was always nice whenever we spoke. Will you be all right?

[After all, they don't control when they go home, right? He could suddenly leave tomorrow and wouldn't she feel worse then if he had promised her now he'd be here forever? Besides, he isn't even certain if he can stay forever. If he'd ever get the option of going home, he'd duty-bound to take it, right?]
I certainly wouldn't leave without saying goodbye if the choice were up to me.
[That is a promise he can make. If he did get the choice, he might feel duty-bound to leave, but certainly wouldn't do it without saying goodbye to the good friends he has made here.]
But it is probably best not to focus on that. I think... if I'd just spent my time worrying about Eren leaving while he was here, I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the time we spent together.
[Same goes for Mr Pines and Newt and Angel herself and Jean and all the friendships he's really made here.]

I'm sorry you have experienced such a loss.
They aren't... or... they weren't my Pokemon. They belonged to Anders, but arrived in my box this morning. It was the first hint that something was wrong.

[It's not like Jean didn't already know Anders was gone. He'd woken up to a Meowth pawing at his face and crying, and only shooed it away twice before recognizing it as Sly, Anders' Pokemon. He'd tried to call Anders on the communicator to come get his cat, and just... hadn't been able to find him. He's been sulking in his room ever since, cuddling Sly (when Sly will allow himself to be cuddled, which is about fifty percent of the time) and being sad.]
[In the video, Angel will be able to see Sly in Jean's lap, looking put out and depressed, his whiskers drooping. Jean has neither whiskers nor any real facial hair, but if he did, they'd be drooping too.]
Do you know where his other Pokemon went?
[Because it's easier to be concerned about Anders' friends than to admit that he's miserable about Anders' disappearance too.]

Jean. [Her voice was quiet, tasting his name and trying to calm herself down. He was here right now, the rest of her friends were still here. She needed to let herself enjoy that.]
I have Bean, Vigilance and Dog Two. I believe Walter has Lily, but... I'm not sure where the rest of them are.
