[The feed starts settled firmly on Rakka's face. In these late, late hours of the day, it's possible that some people might not even be awake right now. But those that are will probably know what's going on right at the first sight of her unkempt face in the soft moonlight from her bedroom window.

Rakka has seen better days; her hair is a total mess, there's noticeably dark wings under her eyes, like her sleep schedule has taken a bad dive. Even now, it looks like she's having trouble staying awake, but she does so anyway, blinking a few times at the screen before she finally speaks.]

I... I can't sleep. [She states, mumbles really. Like it needs to be said.]

I was wondering if... anyone wanted to talk about things. A-anything. M-maybe about home, or all the weird Pokemon sightings going on right now? Something to... keep me up for a while...

[She fights back a yawn, eyes briefly shutting before she despondently opens them again.]

Kuu... Where are you?

[And off goes the feed.]

[Hi, Rakka. Someone else at home can't really sleep; Jane's face is a bit slack in the light of the 'gear as she films from her bed. Why these children don't get up and talk to each other in person is beyond me.]

Did you, um. See my new Pokemon? Hughie? Mister Ford...sent me his egg, and he hatched on Friday. The thirteenth. Isn't that funny? That's so funny.

[Hughie is probably the red and black Zorua tuft curled up under Jane's chin.]

[Good. Someone else can can join her in her tired musings at this terrible hour. Rakka wished she felt more sorry for Jane, but... she really needs the company.]

Mister... O-oh, you got that egg from Ford? I-I got my new Pokemon from him too, and it hatched a while ago.

[She lets her camera pan over to the other side of her bed, where a little Vulpix is cuddled in, and looking fare more content then his owner.]

That's Kaen. He hatched... earlier then this? [She hums softly, trying to remember.]

Ah, he looks like a sweetie.

[Perhaps they will slowly collect foxes, the lot of these girls. Why not.]

From what I've seen...the time they take to hatch really does vary on what's inside. Isn't that funny?

[The girls having a bunch of cuddly foxes does sound like a great way to spend their time...]

Y-yeah, it is. I mean, I don't know a lot about how eggs work, [or Pokemon, but does anyone?] but maybe it just takes longer for certain types of Pokemon to grow. Eve though they both look kind of small...

[Squints. what a cute baby though.]

[Hughie is, at present, flicking his tail a bit as he rests, so it hits Jane's face more often than not. She gently sputters, blowing to get his hair out of her mouth.]

I mean...they're different types too, right? I know Vulpix are Fire, and there's those new Ice ones...this fellow's a Dark type.

[Link is leaning against his Floatzel, Pumpkin, when he turns the 'gear on, said Pokemon sleeping soundly despite his trainer's inability to. Nestled on one of Link's shoulders are Greens and Cabbage, the Sewabble and Fomantis not asleep but instead talking quietly with one another.

And on the other shoulder is Gem the Carbink who looks worried about her sleep deprived trainer and about Rakka.]

We could tell you a story from home! If you want!

[How... cuddly. In a normal night, Rakka would be fast asleep in that position, but it seems that everyone's having trouble.

If Link looked closely, he would find that she is in a similar situation. At least three Pokemon are on her bed, either slumbering soundly, or blearily staying up with their trainer. There may be an Espurr on her back, not that Rakka really notices.]

You would? W-well, sure. That's why I asked.

[Gem managed a cheery look, bobbing back and forth a bit before it settles against Link's head.]

Okay! This is a story from Link's world! Once upon a time..

[The Carbink would proceed to translate the story from Link, telling Rakka about the chosen hero and the fated princess who were destined to stop the Calamity from destroying the world with the help of four champions. Time and time again they had done it, sealing the Calamity away and preventing the destruction of all the lands and the beings that lived there. Each and every time the hero and the princess would be reincarnated in a new life, finding one another and working together to accomplish their goal.

Through the story, Link looks a bit faraway, never quite falling asleep but he's definitely not paying attention to the story.

Or maybe he's paying too much attention. Who knows.]

[Being told a story from a Pokemon and not from the actual trainer wasn't something Rakka expected to experience tonight. But the World of Pokemon is always full of surprises.

The more she listens to the story of Link, the more she gets entranced in it. It's such a classic tale of good versus evil. It's kind of soothing in a way, but Rakka definitely doesn't drift off to sleep yet.]

Wow... and, you're really destined to save a princess?

[Link blinks and focuses on Rakka rather than some distant point, looking a bit sheepish after what she asked clicks in his head. He nods, though, before shrugging.

It's really no big deal.]

Link was her appointed knight! The Champion of Hyrule!

[Anna leans forward, looking...a little tired, too. She certainly hasn't been resting very well these past few nights.]

Have...have you been having weird dreams, too?

[Another comes to join the club. At this point, all Rakka can do is look sorry and give a slow nod.]

Uh.. uh-huh. I've had some nightmares before, but nothing like this.

No, no, they're all usually really quiet at this time. It's just... I think I've been having some nightmares recently.

[Sleep's hardly been pleasant for Riku, either. Especially in light of... recent disappearances. There are dark circles beneath his eyes, and at first, he's quiet. As if staring at the screen will magically will the words from his mouth.]

I remember... back home, I'd always watch the sunset. Listen to the waves. I got so tired of it, but in hindsight, it was... relaxing. Helped me escape for a while.

I'd just kinda. Look out there and wonder what other worlds waited over the horizon. Even had this stupid plan to build a raft and find them myself.

Maybe... I don't know. There anything that relaxes you? Might be a good place to start. But then, I'm lousy at taking my own advice.

[Not-so-recent disappearances haven't been particularly kind to Rakka either. She doesn't say anything at first, merely listening to Riku speak, and watching him with bleary eyes she had to pause and rub.]

...I used to do something like that too. Way back, when I first became a Haibane, I would look out at everything and wonder if there was more to everything then... [A pause is forced by a yawn.] ...that.

[Penny looks pretty tired too. The beginnings of bedhead and being slightly cocooned in blankets doesn't help.]

[She just looks. sad, and covered in her own blankets and assorted Pokemon. It should have been perfect sleeping conditions, and yet...]

I could. Um. Tell you about when Yang instituted the swear jar? I guess, if you still want stories.

O-oh, the swear jar? [She vaguely remembers something like that being set up, but not that much about it. So...]
