Forward Dated: [Action/Route 36/Spinda Tuesday/7/12]

[Ochako's only seen a panda once before, and it was in a zoo by itself. The idea she might see one in the wild was pretty unbelievable. The idea that she might see more than one? Pretty amazing. The idea that there might be dozens of miniature spinning pandas overrunning the route to the point that she is literally tripping over them is kind of mind-melting.]

Awawawa, th, they're so cute! I mean, there's so many of them!

[It's hard to tell if Ochako is panicking because of their numbers or... just overwhelmed by their cuteness. Or... getting... nauseous... because of all... the spinning...

In any case, the poor girl is stuck in the middle of a whole mosh pit of them, waving her hands as her swablue, hoppip and noibat all fly around in her in a panicked fluster, not sure what to do. The spindas aren't really attacking Ochako and they're too short to reach them, but it's pretty worrying how many have surrounded them...

You can come help, or leave her to her furry doom... or maybe you're the one who needs help from spinning mass?]

Urgh, if you feel sick, just imagine how it is being in the middle of it.... [She's already swaying, and not just from tiny pandas bumping into her]

[She tries closing her eyes... so she doesn't see it coming when one Spinda jumps up at her, knocking her right over]

[She'd have gone under if her pokemon hadn't quickly caught her and pulled her back to her feet]

Eek! I didn't expect these guys to be little bullies!

Oof, I can't tell if they're bullies or just... really playful?

[Or... extremely confused. Another jumps up at her and she's not entirely sure if it's attacking, it wants a hug, or it's just as confused how it got there as her. Either way, Chiru and Otoi fend it off while Jumpy... hides behind her. Uh, someone has to guard the rear, right? Right.]

I don't really want to fight them... or rather, I don't know if we even could fight this many of them!

... Wait, do you think I could maybe scare them off?

Oh, maybe! I wonder what would scare them though...

[She suddenly throws up her hands and roars at the spindas]

Raaaaaar!

[...it seems to surprise her own pokemon than it does the bears. Most of them seem too dizzy to care, or taking things at their Own Tempo. A few are even so Contrary, they stumble her way to investigate]

Wh-what else might scare them!?

[Because clearly, a young girl going "rar!" just isn't enough]

Well, I figure what scares humans would scare them too. So... would a gigantic dragon work? Or a haunted tomb? Or a bunch of ghosts? Because I've got all of those!

Do you? Where are you though? [Her pokegear's screen isn't exactly big enough to show all these spindas a scary image though...] Those do sound pretty scary at least!

I'm in Goldenrod, but maybe the screen would be enough to scare them? I'm not really sure how the whole scaring thing works. Like, normies would be totes afraid of me and I don't know why.

Well, the pokedex said they're normal type so... maybe it would work? Here, try it out!

[She turns her gear around so now it's facing one of the spindas as it wobbles back and forth]

[She waves to certain mons off screen.]

You heard everything! Do your best to give a big scare! Frights, Camera, Action!

[She flips the gear over so a Noivern, Cofagrigus, Gengar, can puff their chests, and then ROAR LIKE MANIACS]

[Ochako quickly holds the pokegear away from her own face and plugs an ear with her free hand... and while it's loud, well, it's still limited to her pokegear's output. It gives the one Spinda she's pointing to quite a fright! It jumps and quickly scrambles away.... but none of the others seem to have noticed much other than maybe glancing towards her]

Well, we scared... one of them?

Um... I don't think doing it one at a time will work. I mean it might, but that could take, like, forever.

Yeah... I guess I'll just try to... wade on out of here? It's too bad these guys can't fly me out of here!

[Her pokemon chirp, realizing they were being talked about, but they don't seem to mind at all. Instead, they're all perching on her now....]

Ugh, that whole HM and badge thing is super annoying! No one told I had to have BOTH before my Pokemon could fly me anywhere!

Ohh, yeah, that does seem hard - but I mostly mean mine aren't really big enough either.

Too bad this game doesn't have an e-mail address, I'd love to complain about all those weird things. And all the bugs. Not the bug-types, they're super cute.
