15th Recipe [Video/Action; Goldenrod City]
[So, uh. Yesterday was...frightening, for a lot of reasons and on a lot of levels. Jane had followed the heed of the EV News broadcast yesterday and sheltered where she had been - the Pokemon Center - but as the day had passed it quickly became evident that staying there while people began to bring in Fire and Electric Pokemon escaping the blast was not going to help anyone. The best way to help would be to go to the source.
That's why, when Jane clicks on her 'gear, the ruins of the exploded warehouse are in the distance, and she's in her provided Maid outfit, having been altered during her long stints at the Goldenrod Pokemon Center. There's a little cross patch sewn on the chest of her apron, and she's wearing a thick, pink hoodie to combat the cold. By her side, Dinah's wearing a similar hoodie, scarf, and mittens, and is holding Jane's bag for her.]
Hey, um...so, for everyone in Goldenrod City...I'm pretty sure there wasn't anyone who didn't hear about, uh, what happened yesterday? And, I know it's likely dangerous to get close or, you know, go inside...an exploded warehouse...but if I've learned anything here, it's that we've all got to do our part to help each other, and help the Pokemon we meet. And there's...there's so many that keep popping up hurt or shell-shocked because of this! So, I'm going to be here all day trying to heal some of them up, and if anyone would like to come help, I'd really appreciate it - and I bet the Pokemon would, too. I...think the police might allow it, so long as we're careful.
Au-di-no! [Dinah chimes in and nods, the soft glow of a Heal Pulse radiating off of her. Ah, there is that, isn't it? Heal Pulse is dang useful in this sort of situation.]
So, if anyone's got a Pokemon that can heal others, or you just want to help out, I'll be down here with Dinah - and we ought to do what we can, there's supposed to be more snow coming soon!
[With that, the feed clicks off; you're welcome to contact Jane and tell her not to do anything stupid, or to come on down to the warehouse and help out/make a new Pokemon friend - the swarm availability is here for those of you who haven't seen it yet.]

video
I have some Pokemon who can help, we've been through this rotunda before.
There's still definitely a police presence, but when I said I was here to help any Pokemon I could find, they seemed fine with letting me in. [A sigh.] Is it sad that at this point I know better than to ask if you've really been through a lot of sudden explosions here?

Does anyone know what caused the explosion yet?
[As Lust talks, she moves in and out of the screen, getting ready to go down to the disaster site.]

Oh, that'd be great! I put what I could find in my bag, but that's going to run out pretty soon...there's drinks that are healing items too, right? That cost less than the real thing, but work just as well? We could probably use that, too.
[She doesn't want you breaking the bank, it is holiday time.]

[Which is ever so mildly horrifying.]

Jane? I found another one.
[She's holding an injured Salandit, looking alertly around and letting out the occasional croaking, clicking sound in response to the noise of the city around them.]
I don't think it's badly hurt, but-
[A siren starts up somewhere in the distance. In response, the Salandit throws its head back and lets out a high, yodeling pseudo-howl that has no business coming out of a lizard.]
...it keeps doing that. I think it's trying to talk to them.
[Action]
[She hurries over, Dinah close behind, and gently extends a hand to the Salandit, palm up, so it can notice her and sniff her hand and feel safe enough to let her touch.]
It's alright, now - shh, shhhh...that noise can't hurt you, we won't let it. [She looks up at Penny.] Do you think - earmuffs might help? Maybe it's all the noise that's bothering it.
no subject
Maybe? I don't think I have any extra earmuffs, do you?
[The Salandit, meanwhile, seems maybe a little more overwhelmed with excitement than scared, per se?]
no subject
I don't, but...maybe a towel would help? If we wrapped it up in a towel like a baby after treating it...the softness and snugness might help it feel safe.

Maybe? I've got a couple blankets in my pack, hang on- can you hold him for a second? ...I think it's a him anyway, I can't tell yet.

[ Action ]
A shadow darts over the warehouse as a Braviary with a large scar on it's front swoops down, landing on a nearby rooftop. And from the rooftop comes Ash, hood up and face half covered, jumping down to a ledge before hitting the ground. The Braviary follows but is keeping a sharp eye out. They were doing this whether or not the Jennies approved. He spotted Jane and nodded to her, recognising her from the video she had made.
"You doing alright?"
[ Action ]
She does jump in surprise though, not exactly...well, this dude just ninja'd out of the sky on a bird, it's not unheard of in Poke-workd, but it's still unexpected.]
Ah-! Um - er - that is to say...yes? A-And you, sir?
[ Action ]
"Probably won't be doing so good once I see the inside of this place. Are you staying out here or have you been going in and out?" Behind him, Fionn gave a respectful nod to Dinah. While he was on the alert and very much a warrior of a Pokemon, he wasn't about to dismiss another Pokemon out of some misjudged sense of pride.
[ Action ]
I-I've been outside, mostly...haven't had a reason to go in, yet.

Oh, it's really that bad down there, isn't it?
[She frowns, chewing her lip a bit. She'd heard the news, obviously. Who hadn't?
it only hurt worse seeing the smoke in the distance.]
I think I can take off some time and come down to help.

He swoops down on the back of his Charizard, some yards away from Jane. Eyes narrowed, he steadily approaches.]
Geez... It's even worse than I thought.
[Heh. Kinda brings back memories, too. Unpleasant ones, at that.]
So... How's everything been holding up? Gotta admit, I didn't see this one coming...
no subject
I...honestly think it could have been a lot worse, but, overall there's been a lot of Jennies in the area, so I can't say the situation's being neglected...it is a relief to see more people coming out to help with the wounded, though.

[It was just a random example, though. He's still not entirely sure on the specifics here.]
Not saying this was their dirtywork, though. Just that we've had to deal with similar incidents before. More bombings than I can count, for one.
[Flare grumbles a bit, but nods anyway, before sniffing the air and scowling.]

[I mean, who knows what actually caused it at this point, but it's certainly a good point to consider.]
