[04] Video / Text
Hello!
[Elsa's cheerful face greets everyone and she turns the camera to Skadi, who lets out a gentle noise of greeting from where she's sitting looking as radiant as ever. The Arendelle crown with it's ice stone embedded as the jewel glints in the light.
Skadi just won't take it off, honestly.]
I can't express how much it means to both of us that we won. We want to thank everyone for the support that made it possible. I- I never thought we would win, honestly!
[That isn't false modesty, either. She sincerely means it when she says that.]
I entered because I knew it was something Skadi needed. I spent so long agonizing over it, but it... felt right to have her evolve the way she did. I thought, if she could feel the way I did when I decided to embrace my powers, then she would truly be ready for this next stage in her life.
[Elsa lets out a laugh.] It was beneficial for the two of us. I think I learned to let go and allow her to grow up, too. Either way, I just.. wanted to say thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts.
[Elsa, learning to ramble just a touch less for once, ends it there and clicks off the feed.]
-
[She'll also post a small text after the feed.]
Also I'm sure most of you in the breeding circle already know, but Dr. Ford is selling eggs right now and a few of them are Vulpix eggs. Please do take care of them! I know the selling of eggs is a big thing and I'm trying not to worry too much, but I want to make sure they go to good homes.
Thank you. :)
[Did she just emoji??
That's a first. She really is letting it go.]

Also, are you saying you have a Vulpix with no tails?/span>
Re: [Text]
Ugh. Yeah. He's a Ninetales now and he just has a ball of fluff instead of full tails.
[ Elsa would receive a photo of a Ninetales's butt. It had all 9 tails but because they were short it was just a pink ball of fluff. ]
Here I thought I was getting this elegant shiny and he has no tails.
[Text]
Oh, how cute! It reminds me of a carnival treat I discovered called "cotton candy".
You sound like you don't appreciate him as much as you should. He may not have the tails you wanted, but he still looks great.
Re: [Text]
You'd think he's royalty without he walks around here!
[Noct is grinning as he says it, Quay the Popplio hanging over his shoulder and waving a flipper at the pair with a soft bark.
Yes! Very amazing!]
[Elsa gives him a big smile too, Skadi makes her way over and sits next to Elsa. She makes a small noise of greeting/thanks to Noctis as well.]
Your performance was amazing, too! You two have a lot of talent.
Thanks, but I can't take any credit. I was just goofing around behind Quay while she totally rocked out. Nothing really talented about what I did!
[Quay let out a bark of protest, clearly flustered as she bat at Noct's face with a flipper.]
I don't know anyone else who could goof around as impressively as that, so- I would say it's talent!
[Elsa addresses Quay directly now.]
You were absolutely stunning up there, Quay. You should be proud of yourself!
[Though fishing counts as a talent, right? Even if his fishing skills here meant catching endless Magikarp.
Having Elsa's attention on her makes Quay freeze, the little Popplio terribly flustered now to the point that she can't even get a peep out. Noct chuckles softly and gently hugs her which seems to snap her out of it, Quay quickly barking out a higher than normal thanks then looking bashful because oh that sounded awful oh my gosh excuse her while she buries her face in her flippers.]
I think she appreciates the compliment, Elsa.

[Someone is speaking from a lot. of experience.]

I don't think I could bear to push someone that hard. I've seen too many people get pushed beyond what they can really take, and break hard.
[He should know. He was almost one of them.]
text
I mean, not that you've seen that happen, that's horrible. But I'm glad you know how to handle situations such as this. I feel like more people should realize that pushing people isn't how you help them in cases like this.
text
Some people are ok with being pushed, but really there's a limit even for them. I've seen things be so much more effective when people are encouraged and helped with their problems.
I'm Matt, btw. I don't think we've met.
text
You mentioned earlier you were new at this, so you probably haven't been here long. How are you settling in?
text
I'm settling really well, actually. One of my best friends is here, don't know if you know him or not; His name's Shiro. Tall, muscular, metal hand, kinda looks like a Dorito. He came and got me, and now I'm in a house on a beach. It's... almost surreal.
[Look, Matt does actually like his best friend.]
no subject
I can tell you now, though.. I've been here almost six months and it hasn't stopped feeling surreal. Not in a bad way! But getting used to everything isn't easy when there's so many new things to discover every single day.
Video
You have powers?
no subject
Elsa hadn't even realized she had mentioned her powers, let alone so casually. It's... startling, how that's all just kind of starting to be a memory rather than a lifestyle, to refer to it so casually and without... fear.
Character development is wild.
Aside from that, Elsa is startled to see that she's talking to such a young child. She hasn't seen anyone so young on the network before.]
Oh, hello! Yes- I... well, I did would be the better way to say it. Before I arrived here I had ice magic!
no subject
[A young child who is looking at you with wonder and awe. Her world is all science and tech
and death. There's no magic there at all.]Why don't you have ice magic here though?
no subject
The question isn't something she's thought too much about. Other people here have had the same thing happen to them, it's just.. a Thing.]
Because I don't need my powers, since I have Skadi to make ice for me!
[There, that is. An appropriate answer, right?]
no subject
I guess....
[It still sounds like more fun to have your own powers. Oh well...]
I have a Growlithe, she can make fire.
[Rakka can't stop the positivity, she's been gushing compliments since she got her own win.]
[Elsa can't help but grin at that. She's gotten so many nice words from people lately, it's really bolstering her confidence and making her feel like she can do anything.]
All this support is really doing wonders for Skadi- it's like she's on top of the world. I couldn't be more proud of her!
I know exactly what you mean, Kaen hasn't stopped looking so excited since we came home. I think he might not know that the contests are over just yet. [But ahh... she doesn't want to tell him. He's so happy about the trophy.]
I had no idea that participating in a contest would be that much fun!
