...You'd think finally seeing my loved ones after so long and recalling precious memories of my comrades would lessen the pain of our separation, yet it somehow feels stronger than ever.

[Cecil's voice has been left rough by a week of disuse, filled with wistfulness by what occured during said week, but there's happiness there that only grows when he speaks again.]

Still, my world is in one mostly intact piece and my kingdom has avoided burning to ashes, freezing solid or worse. That calls for a celebration! Thus, for the next three days I will be paying for everyone's drinks and meals at the Merry Medicham. Please do not hesitate to come and partake to your stomach's content. I'll take care of the tab.

I'll have to make arrangements with Ryner for managing the gym, if he doesn't want to come, but I imagine I can work something out.

How wonderful it is to have a partner who can take care of the Gym while you travel! Though he'll be dearly missed if he does not visit.

Well, perhaps you should extent a personal invitation sometime, I doubt he could refuse that.

Can you imagine the frustration of watching a battle-winning move miss due to an ill-timed sneeze? I know luck is an integral part of our matches, but not to that degree.

It would most certainly be a grave disservice to any spectators, indeed.

Though I wonder if that means we should publicize it? I imagine matches between gym leaders aren't exactly common...

True. I've yet to hear of local Gym leaders challenging each other, and I've not visited them since the Gym opened...

Should we set it for a later date, then? Or simply make it a surprise for those who happen to be in the area to come watch?

We could announce it a few hours early, to allow those who may be close by to travel. At the very least, it'd help the people currently in Celadon or Saffron.

I suppose that would be a reasonable compromise, though I'm afraid it would still leave most the work of announcing it to you, as I'll be rather busy getting there.

I'll spread the word throughout both cities. I've a few acquaintances in both the Department Store and Saffron's Pokémon Center; they'll ensure our potential audience knows where to go.

Well, that sounds like a plan.
