[He'd read up on eevees. He'd done a lot of reading. He'd looked into all the different evolutions and had set his sights on trying to turn Gongaga into a Jolteon. It just seemed like a good route to go.

Cloud would have accomplished this were it not for the fact that his little eevee had grown extremely attached to him...and then learned a fairy move when it leveled up next.

Cue a slightly irritated blonde coming over the network holding a rather pleased looking Sylveon in the crook of one arm, the fairy-type's fleshy tendrils wrapped around Cloud's arm as it nuzzles against him.]

...I have a feeling this evolution is suppose to be cute but it's kind of unnerving.

[Gongaga chirps happily at him, peering up at him with absolute adoration in it's eyes.]

There's no way to change him back, is there?

[He knows the answer but a part of him is holding out hope, okay.]

I mean, think about all the crazy things people have been able to do because of love. Mothers lifting cars and shit.

I read an article once where a guy punched a bear in the face to save his little dog, like. Take that and hold on. [He can think of a few less admirable things he's seen in his life of people doing for love as well, but. He's just not going to mention that.]

[Cloud's quiet as the other talks and by the end of it there's a much softer look on his face as he glances down at his Sylveon. Said pink monstrosity happily nuzzles against him, chirping and twilling in delight--so much so that it actually gets a smile out of Cloud.]

..I have seen some pretty amazing things done that are fueled by love.

There you go. Now you can appreciate your pink...uh. what is that one called anyways?

[So maybe he can get one himself.]

[Gongaga chirps happily at Hannah, ears perking up before he's looking at Cloud who just snorts softly.]

And...that's a new eevee evolution right? [It looks familiar anyways, even though all he can remember is the basic three. It has the right look to it though. Same family.]

I think so? I mean, he was an eevee before he turned into this--I don't know if it's a new evolution though.

Oh- I mean. Uh...oddly enough this place is familiar to me, just not all of it? Pokemon was this game that came out when I was growing up, it was a show too, just. There are a lot I don't remember from the game anyways. Like my Noibat. Eevee was there though. And like, charmanders and shit. I think there were like....a hundred and fifty? But the rest, man.

Some of them look like an acid trip, but they're cool!

[Excuse him while he just stares for a long moment.]

It was pretty cute and fun, and man...it's fun in living it too. I'm living like, most every kid's dream, being here. Like, honestly all I need now is a pikuchu and if I were ten? I could die happy. [He's not shitting you Cloud. Just be glad he didn't own a playstation or you might look oddly familiar in the weirdest fucking way.]

I mean, if I can do magic, i'm pretty sure other things can too. It's within that realm of possibility. Can't do it here, but the good life has a price, I figure.

You can use magic in your world?

I can! Its not the most common thing, but I'd be pretty unprepared to handle what i do without it.

Naw, I'm human. I just learned it from some drunk guy in an alley when I was growing up. I gave him money for booze and he gave me lessons. It's just...not well known since people are so attached to being normal.
