Still, shinys were rare so Yuri could hardly complain about that but IT WAS A TRUBBISH, OKAY. ]

All I wanted to do was throw out a faulty Pokeball and this is what I get. A sentient bag of trash that is not only a literal bag of trash that has eyes, a mouth and won't stop following me but is also apparently a SPECIAL sentient bag of trash!

[ Chris the Servine wasn't going to let the camera be focusing around with draping herself dramatically over Hefty who was red in the face at her sudden appearance. She puts a little hand to her chest, tail lifting so you could see her flowers well enough. Yes, look at her, were we taking photos?

Nita the Maractus was there a moment later, with Erosdon the Rowlett perched on her head and Leroy the Oddish bouncing after her. It was picture time! Pictures with the new friend! Honorary Green Group member! Look at them, LOOK AT THEM--YURI, DON'T YOU TURN THE CAMERA AWAY--!! ]

At least it's a poison type, I kind of needed one anyway and it's not like--HEY!!

[ Yuri was suddenly mobbed, feathers flying and petals and leaves, his Pokemon trying to all get into the picture to show off. Look at their new friend! Look--And the gear goes flying, flipping around and landing on the ground. With a perfect view of Yuri being mobbed. ]

Y-yeah, looks so! Apparently they're just super rare. Probably because different colorations and stuff mean.. I mean, back in my world if something was colored wrong in the wild predators could get to it easier?

[ They appeared out of nowhere, containing creatures that were unique even to this world's standards. How could they not be a divine blessing? He recognised that Yuri was uncomfortable about what he'd said but just tucked the knowledge away for later. ]

I suppose it depends on how the coloring differs. Claudia's is noticeable but not that dramatically different, so I do not think it would impend her much in the wild.

Yeah, I mean.. Maybe its the fact that they practically sparkle or whatever. Just .. glitter their way across the world. But have you seen some of them though? Some are like, neon rainbow beasts!

I have not seen many. The most striking I can think of would be the Riolu and Lucario evolution line. But they are a deep blue in colour naturally, which I would not think hides them from prey or predators well.

[ He reflected for a moment ] That could be a factor in their rarity. That they simply do not survive well in the wild.

Or it's just one of those weird things. Like, sometimes cats have extra toes and stuff? It's kind of rare. Or like, sometimes you get an albino crow or something.

[ Look, Yuri had no idea. They all had crazy powers so he wasn't sure how much the predator/prey relationship was affected. ]
