[It's early morning when Newt appears on the network, a sad smile on his face as he hands his 'gear to someone--Queenie if the noises are any indication.]

Thank you--yes, good morning, everyone. I..well, it would seem that one of my long time companions has decided to take her leave.

[He glances down, still smiling but it's clear he's quite sad. Pokemon come and go quite often from his care but this one's hitting a bit harder.

A white colored Florges comes into view, reaching out to touch his arm with a soft sound. Newt looks at her and a breathy laugh escapes him. It takes him a moment to collect himself, Newt taking a breath and letting it out before continuing.]

My apologies, Morgan. [And back to the 'gear he looks.] My dear Fay took her leave last night and left us a parting gift.

[The wizard steps aside as Morgan drifts in the opposite direction so that the cottage can come fully into view. The entire thing is covered in small yellow flowers that are woven all over the woodwork, creeping up the sides and across the roof, winding around the gutters and framing the windows. In the early morning light it's a lovely sight indeed.

There is, of course, quite a few Pokemon milling about including a Smeargle that seems to be soaking up the cottage's appearance and coating his paws in paint in preparation to paint as a Munna hovers close by looking charmed by his antics.]

I hadn't been aware that she was planning to go and she will be missed she...it's rather lovely, isn't it? [Queenie turns the 'gear to focus on Newt as he stands looking the cottage over with that same sad smile, arms folded with Roxy the Lyancroc sitting at his feet. It's only when Morgan drifts over to his side as well that Newt turns to look over at Queenie and the 'gear once more.] I had actually intended to start this by explaining that my companions had produced quite a few eggs that needed homes but then I stepped outside to see this..my apologies for the rather somber start to the morning.

[Morgan drifts upwards and the Florges kisses Newt's cheek, getting a chuckle from the wizard and he seems to relax a bit, looking a bit less sad now. At his feet, Roxy stands, tail wagging and tongue lolling out as she looks at the 'gear excitedly. Can you guess who might have been responsible for some of the eggs?]

I will attach a list of everything and if anyone would be interested, please let me know. I can have the eggs sent to you within the day.

[A breeze passes through and yellow petals seem to dance about them, Newt looking back towards the cottage with a fond look. The 'gear is turned away then and Queenie the Audino appears, waving with a gentle smile before the 'gear shuts off.]

[Ivy, who's up with the sun, is of course outside admiring Fay's handiwork. Her own newly evolved Florges, Nymph, trilling at the beautiful sight and rushing around the cottage to get a view from all sides.

Upon spotting Newt, Pam gives a sympathetic smile and walks over, hands sliding around his waist and lips pressing to his cheek.]

Feeling melancholy, petal?

[Morgan twills and chirps at Nymph, drifting over to greet the other and gush over the sight of the flowers with her. It really was a sight wasn't it??

Pulled from his thoughts by Pam, Newt leaned into her arms and the press of her lips with a soft smile.]

A bit, yes. I...honestly never thought I would be this upset by one of them leaving.

[It is! Fay is so talented! What a wonderful creation!

Pamela strokes one of her hands across the small of his back and rests her head upon his shoulder.]

Even if the reasons for leaving aren't especially negative, partings between good friends are bittersweet.

[Giggling, Morgan drifted up towards the roof to delicately touch some of the flowers. She really is talented! Hopefully she'll be able to show more people!

Newt turns his head slightly to press a kiss to Pam's head.]

Indeed they are. She was always the type to wander, though, so it was bound to happen eventually. Settling just wasn't her nature.

[Nymph nods eagerly and floats around, carefully stroking the flowers that way she's seen her Trainer do many times.

Ivy hums and continues to lean against Newt, lightly nuzzling at his shoulder.]

Then the fact that she stayed so long is a testament to how well you bonded. I'm sure it was just as saddening for her, but she made a mature decision.

I have no doubts she'll find happiness wherever she ends up from here on out. She is a lovely little thing, after all.

[Looking away from the cottage to focus on Pam now, Newt wraps his arms around her to give her a squeeze.]

My apologies for the rather somber start to the morning. I do have something to brighten it though. Something for you, that is.

I'm sure she'll be fine. Who knows, come fall she may return to escape the cold.

[Her hold around his waist tightens.]

Feeling somber is hardly a thing that needs apologizing for.

[Ivy lifts her head from its resting place to arch her brow at him curiously.]

Oh?

Perhaps she will.

[Or, at the very least, may she would visit one day.

Newt just smiled and as she lifted her head he motioned to Roxy who trotted off towards the cottage.]

Yes I..well, I haven't seen this particular type among your companions so I thought you might be interested in taking one in given it's type.

[As he explains a Pokemon approaches though it's not Roxy. Instead it's Artemis the Grovyle with an egg cradled in her arms. She croons in greeting before looking to Pam and holding the egg out to her.]

Artemis agreed and picked this one out for you in particular.

[Still baffled, Pam lets go of Newt's waist as she turns to the approaching Pokemon.

Her eyes widen with realization and she smiles, so pleased, crouching down to take the egg with reverence.

She speaks to Artemis directly first, her mouth still as she reaches out mentally to the Grass type.]

For me? I'm so honored, Artemis.

[Artemis looked quite pleased as Pam addressed her, fluffing herself up proudly and letting out a purr-like noise.]

You are a friend to the plants and a friend to Newt. I trust you to take care of my darling.

[And that's not something she does lightly, Miss!]

I shall spoil them rotten and ensure they flourish.

[Holding the egg to her chest with one hand, she reaches the other out and caresses Artemis' long head dress with a finger in adoration and thanks.

With that she stands and turns to Newt, smirking. Already snuggling the egg like a newborn.]

You spoil me.

[The Grovyle crooned happily at the touch and gave Pamela a pleased grin of sorts before sauntering off to go care for her other eggs.

Newt, who had been watching quietly, gave Pam a small smile.]

You say that like it's a terrible thing for me to do.

[She closes the space to kiss along the corners of his mouth.]

Hmm, mostly because I feel like this is an attempt to distract me from the fact you ought another Lapras egg this week.

[Newt had started to smile and even made to return the kisses but then she had to go and call him out like that causing the wizard to choke-cough.]

I--well--n-no that wasn't..my intention.

[Ivy looks so amused. She's holding the egg close as her free hand plays with the collar of his shirt. Still kissing along his bottom lip.]

Oh? Is that true?

Y-yes..I just...when I realized Artemis had eggs, I knew you would want one!

[He hadn't considered using it as a means of distracting her from his own recent purchase.]

[She's chuckling.]

Alright, I believe you.

[Her lips travel along his jaw.]

Thank you, petal. It's very sweet of you.

[But... She's not done teasing yet so whispers in his ear.]

How should I repay you?

It..you don't need to thank me, Pamela. If there's anyone that I trust to care for one of their eggs, it's you.

[He can't help but shudder a but, an arm going around her loosely.]

I--well I..imagine you may have something in mind.

Still, it's a lovely you thought of me and wonderful gift.

[You can hear the smirk in her voice.]

I do. Though I'm not sure it's appropriate for younger ears.

[She kisses him again.]

[That gets a breathy laugh out of him and he returns the kiss, taking the initiative to deepen it before she can. It's only after he draws back, eyes still closed and his forehead resting against hers, that he bothers to reply.]

Perhaps we should continue this conversation elsewhere?

[After the kiss she lets out a soft hum, enjoying the closeness, her hand now undoing the top buttons of his shirt.]

I think the bedroom would be best.

[Another kiss, letting this one linger.]

After I put my gift somewhere warm.

Pokemon can just leave? I didn't know that.

I'm sorry Newt, that sucks.

well, Fay wasn't..she didn't have a Pokeball, actually. She's been traveling with me since the beginning of my journey here along with Morgan.

[Newt motions to the Florges beside him who smiles and waves at Diana.]

It's alright--I'll be alright. She..was just here for so long the loss hit a bit harder than I was expecting.

Oh. Shell and Nerezza use to be like that. This new girl won't leave either.

Since you got here? No wonder you're bummed out.

New girl? Have you found yourself with a new follower?

Yes, she and Morgan both stowed away in my jacket pockets at the same time and they've been with me since. Fay was always more of a wandering spirit, though, so it really isn't surprising.

Yeah, she's here somewhere. [Diana looks around herself for a moment before a shiny Litwick fades into view and makes a small noise. A silent Shedinja appears next to it.] Ah, there we go. Her. M'not too worried. Shell's pretty good at keeping not so nice Ghosts away.

I mean, it sounds like you to not notice you;re carrying two extra Pokemon. Looks like she did up your house nice though.

[Surprise flickers across Newt's face before he smiles.]

I do believe that's a shiny variation of a Litwick, Diana. Hello there, little one. And a Shedinja as well. Hello to you too.

That is how I ended up with my Joltiks... [All hundred of them or so.] Yes, she did. It's gorgeous.

I thought she might be. It's just Jinx has one like this too so I kinda forget they don't all look like this.

[The Litwick waves while the Shedinja just wiggles its stiff body a little.]

Hope you know how to look after plants.

Understandable. If you're familiar with the appearance I can imagine that it would become the 'norm' to you, so to speak.

[Newt chuckles, clearly charmed with the pair. But seriously what Pokemon isn't he charmed by?]

I admit, it's not my forte but thankfully I have a lovely companion that is quite skilled with plants.

Yeah, it wasn't until I saw Walt's and Vani's that I remembered.

Oh, I just figured you were a nature boy all the way. [Diana smirks at him.]

[He can't help but chuckle.]

No, that is not something I can claim by any means. I know plants well enough that I can properly care for my creatures that eat them back home and that is the extent. Well, aside from herbology and knowing what to use in potions.

Well, I'm disappointed.

Herbology? Is that like... whatever the word is. Botany? [Hell if she knows. She took real subjects in school. She snorts at the word potions.]

Essentially, yes. It just includes magical plants and those used in specific potions so there has to be a rather special term for it.

[That might be a hint of sarcasm there because seriously the wizarding world is strange.]

Sounds made up to me. Like someone forgot the proper word and no one's ever corrected them.

[That gets him chuckling again.]

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the explanation for it.

You wizards should really try harder.

You may be asking far too much of us, Diana.

But you're supposed to be magic!

Magic is not the answer to everything, trust me on that.

What a beautiful goodbye present. It's easy to see how much she cares about you.

I'm sure the two of you will meet again one day.

I truly hope so. Though, even if we don't, I hope she enjoys herself. That's really all I can ask for.

I'm sure after staying with you she's well equipped, and wouldn't have left unless she thought it was something she needed to do.

Plus you both have wonderful memories to carry with you from your time together. I'm sure she won't forget that.
