[Beep, good afternoon world of Pokemon! Botan turns on the video with it focused on herself, though a Sensu Oricorio does peer into the lens with interest at first. Botan laughs and moves it up.]

Come now, Hisoka-chan, it's not a mirror. That's a camera, people can see you.

[The Pokemon looks a little surprised at this and pulls up a wing over its face in embarrassment. She just smiles gently at it before coming back to what the original intent was.]

Hello, everyone, Botan here. We seem to have gotten some new people, so I wanted to introduce myself and what I'm able to do to help you make the most of your life here.

[Well isn't that nice, pretty nice for a strange lady with bright blue hair and fuschia eyes.]

Mostly I run a sweets shop over in Goldenrod, I've been vacationing on the islands but I'm ready to come back and reopen it soon. You can always get something nice for you or your Pokemon to eat or even seek work if you wish. My other services include interpreting Pokemon and mediating between them and their trainers, most especially Ghost types. I have a certain talent for communicating with them and understanding what they say. ...I know in particular ghosts can be troublesome ones, can't they? [She laughs again, rather jovial for someone talking about actual ghosts.] In any case, please do always feel free to contact me for anything, my door is always open!

[And the feed just ends there. Apparently people can have days in this world where they aren't distressed or reacting to something strange in the nature of the world.]

[This isn't a new face, but she's smiling happily at Botan all the same.]

Hi Botan! How's your vacation going so far?

You're good with Ghost types? Do you think you could you help me with one of mine?

[Thida's sitting cross-legged in the Olivine City Pokemon Center, Poko curled up in her lap and snoozing. Yep, they've set off for the spring/summer already.]

Talk t'ghosts? Didn't know...what's it like?

You're still out here in the islands?

I'm in Goldenrod right now. Probably for a while.

[She needs to be around people that she can see aren't dead. The prom invasion did a number on her, setting her back into her survival mind set while it was going on, even just straight up flashbacks. And even after it ended she was left with more night terrors then usual.]

[Newt sounds quieter then normal. Numb-ish.]

You can talk to pokemon right? Because one of mine is mad at me. It's not a ghost though....and I think I know why he's mad but ....I don't want to just leave him in the pc forever. Even if he hates me.

I have a ghost type. Weird question but....

Can you ask them if they're going to possess me? Some people said it's possible and I'd like to have that cleared up as soon as I can. ....I don't have the best history with ghosts.

Of course, I don't mind at all.

[Where did he ask or imply that you would mind, Botan?? Honestly.]

It's been wonderful! I got some new Pokemon, and Korra's shown me a great time. She's actually going to be looking for a house here, so I'm helping her with that before I leave. As her friend, of course I have to make sure she's got a nice lovely house to live in before I go anywhere!

[Of course, don't all friends do that?]

Well, honestly...in my opinion it's not that different from speaking to anybody else at all. I say something, they say something, we hear each other like usual. I can't quite explain it, I suppose it's some kind of spiritual connection since I'm--you know, a spirit and all. Practically a ghost myself, just I was never a living person.

[Or, she thinks she wasn't, she can't actually confirm it for certain.]

Is that a bad thing? I like it here, Korra's been a wonderful host. I know things got...er...a little mad with what happened at the party, but I can't let something like screaming jellyfish aliens bother me.

Um... I hope he'll talk to you at all. He's really antisocial. I think something happened to him in the past...

Anyways, I'll bring him out.

[Kazuki releases a Sensu Oricorio from it's ball. It sits on his shoulder, but turns it's head away from the camera and closes it's eyes.]

Oh, sweetie.

[See, she knew this would happen. Something bad would happen if she took a break for a moment, now the kids got harmed or frightened by something. She understands exactly where Newt's coming from in this, though, the...things weren't Pokemon at all, some kind of aliens, alien in language and appearance. It's also hard to convey to people that they were lost--not intentionally attacking, just very reactionary and destructive in being lost.]

When I return, you can come over and stay a while if you'd like. I'll let you know as soon as possible. And, of course, I'll speak to your Pokemon and figure out what's going on there.

That's not a weird question. Honestly, I'd say that's the most practical reaction to ghosts I've seen yet.

[Even if in the culture she's from ghosts don't exactly possess people, they can--or at least they can in the body of someone unconscious.]

You say "them"--is it one of many spirits?

Ah, I see. [Just like hers--well, Hisoka is reserved, not exactly antisocial.] Come now, there's no need to be that way, I'm not going to judge you for lack of being social. Some of the delinquents I knew back at home were much worse about that.

[Some of them regularly threaten to kill people but. Well. Kazuki or his Oricorio didn't need to know that. Hisoka takes her wing away from her face to peer at the other Pokemon, tilting her head inquisitively.] Hisoka-chan, what do you have to say?

[Why are you being stubborn? You imbecile.]

Er. Do me a favor and don't say things like that again, Hisoka-chan. --She called him stubborn and an imbecile, sorry.

Yeah, we'll I've had some experiences with them before I came here. Or at least some ghost like things...it's a bit weird. But those ones were really into possession.

Ah yeah. Actually my starter is a Spiritomb, or as I call them. The Sunken. So apparently over a hundred spirits bound to a rock. Because apparently this place has a lousy sense of humour.

They haven't done anything to me yet...and they battle and everything but it's kinda hard not to be a bit worried.

I'm--oh, dear. I'm sorry to hear that.

[What kind of nightmare hell world is she from, goodness gracious.]

That's all right. I can speak to them over the feed if you want. Just ask me what you want to ask them, I'll translate for both of you.

Oh-- Uh, I'm sorry about that, Azuma. I'm sure she didn't mean it like that...

[Azuma shakes his head. She obviously doesn't know what she's talking about.]

Right, this is Azuma! I caught him awhile ago in Lavender Town, in a graveyard. I think he was guarding one of the graves there. I would have left him, but he was causing trouble for the visitors there.

[She's quiet for a bit, apparently thinking it over.]

If that's okay....I'd like that. .....I can't sleep in open places though and I might wake up screaming...I do that a lot....so I can just come in the day if that's too much trouble.

[Night terrors. A lot of them.]

.....Thank you though, for the offer and talking to my pokemon. .....I don't want him to hate me.

I'm sorry, indeed, Azuma-kun. I think insulting is how she shows concern.

[Hisoka just huffs, puffing up her feathers and turning away. Buffoonish prole. Botan...tries to laugh it off, petting the bird gently.]

Are you comfortable telling me what was in the graveyard, Azuma-kun? Someone you knew, perhaps?

Eh, what's done is done.

[Half shrug. It's ....not the best one.]

Um, I'll get them. Just a second.

[And she'll take the gear and move to better area. Pulling out a pokeball and letting out....this churning mass of spirits]

Okay, guys. This is....Botan and she's going to talk to you, so you can talk to me. So if you can answer her questions....that would be great.

[She'll glance over at the screen again.]

Can you ask them if they have any plans to possess me?

[Azuma opens one eye to regard Botan, as if weighing his options... Then he turned his head back towards the camera.]

Nobody else would have given her an offering.

Is that why you were giving visitors trouble, as well? Or, I suppose you were trying to get their attention. [As an aside to Kazuki:] He said nobody else would have given "her" an offering. I'm assuming that means the grave he was watching over.

[Now there's a familiar sight: a swirling vortex of spirits and a silly but ghoulish grin. Botan cocks her head to the side, smiles at The Sunken.]

Hello, your trainer would like to know if you have plans to possess her. As in one or more of your spirits leaving your rock and attempting to infiltrate her consciousness.

[She would think...not since Spiritomb is specifically alleged to be a Pokemon whose spirits are bound to the rock for punishment. But if it gives Alex peace of mind, she'll hope that they answer.]

Ah, yeah! He had put a bunch of purple flowers all over it.

[Azuma breathes a small sigh in his feathered chest.]

I don't want their attention. Nobody cared about her when she was alive, so why should I care for them?

[For a moment it doesn't seem like they will however....]

why would we do that? she is already like us, even with her human body. she told us herself.
