[Beep, good afternoon world of Pokemon! Botan turns on the video with it focused on herself, though a Sensu Oricorio does peer into the lens with interest at first. Botan laughs and moves it up.]

Come now, Hisoka-chan, it's not a mirror. That's a camera, people can see you.

[The Pokemon looks a little surprised at this and pulls up a wing over its face in embarrassment. She just smiles gently at it before coming back to what the original intent was.]

Hello, everyone, Botan here. We seem to have gotten some new people, so I wanted to introduce myself and what I'm able to do to help you make the most of your life here.

[Well isn't that nice, pretty nice for a strange lady with bright blue hair and fuschia eyes.]

Mostly I run a sweets shop over in Goldenrod, I've been vacationing on the islands but I'm ready to come back and reopen it soon. You can always get something nice for you or your Pokemon to eat or even seek work if you wish. My other services include interpreting Pokemon and mediating between them and their trainers, most especially Ghost types. I have a certain talent for communicating with them and understanding what they say. ...I know in particular ghosts can be troublesome ones, can't they? [She laughs again, rather jovial for someone talking about actual ghosts.] In any case, please do always feel free to contact me for anything, my door is always open!

[And the feed just ends there. Apparently people can have days in this world where they aren't distressed or reacting to something strange in the nature of the world.]

I'm in Goldenrod right now. Probably for a while.

[She needs to be around people that she can see aren't dead. The prom invasion did a number on her, setting her back into her survival mind set while it was going on, even just straight up flashbacks. And even after it ended she was left with more night terrors then usual.]

[Newt sounds quieter then normal. Numb-ish.]

You can talk to pokemon right? Because one of mine is mad at me. It's not a ghost though....and I think I know why he's mad but ....I don't want to just leave him in the pc forever. Even if he hates me.

Oh, sweetie.

[See, she knew this would happen. Something bad would happen if she took a break for a moment, now the kids got harmed or frightened by something. She understands exactly where Newt's coming from in this, though, the...things weren't Pokemon at all, some kind of aliens, alien in language and appearance. It's also hard to convey to people that they were lost--not intentionally attacking, just very reactionary and destructive in being lost.]

When I return, you can come over and stay a while if you'd like. I'll let you know as soon as possible. And, of course, I'll speak to your Pokemon and figure out what's going on there.

If that's okay....I'd like that. .....I can't sleep in open places though and I might wake up screaming...I do that a lot....so I can just come in the day if that's too much trouble.

That's all right, you can sleep in my closet if needed. I keep futons in there, so it should be plenty cozy in there.

But it's all up to you. [...] It's natural to want to fix a bad situation with someone, especially if it's a misunderstanding. That's part of being human, dear.

[Honestly she'd be more concerned if Newt didn't have feelings like that. It's plain just not reasonable for someone to not feel a little angry or petty about any kind of conflict, even if it's a misunderstanding.]

I know, it's complicated. Unfortunately people are like that. And Pokemon, too, I suppose since their emotional capacity is quite similar to people.

Of course, and especially at your age all of this probably seems new and weird. I can't promise it changes in frustration and confusion as you get older, however, sorry.

I know that. The adults at home were confused and frustrated all the time.

I think so. We'll be working together, won't we? No matter what the misunderstanding, a little teamwork never hurt anything.

[Except for when teams specifically set out to hurt someone, but that's not the topic.]

[It's good to qualify that. Promises are also good, as long as they're kept. Newt still hasn't really forgiven her mother for promising not to leave her, and then dying. Is that fair? Probably not, but she is seven and been through a lot of trauma. Sometimes it's not about what's fair.]
