[Excuse the shaky view as Sasha sets the gear up on the floor in front of her, giving the public as large a view of her sitting on the floor by her bed cross-legged. She rubs at her nose a few times, glancing off screen anxiously before she turns back to the 'gear and addresses the public at large.]

How do you make friends? [A pause.] I mean, real people friends, not Pokemon friends.

[Which makes this post a whole lot more pathetic. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!]

Like I don't know a lot of stuff because where I'm from we don't even have lights or water on the inside or schools or those car things. Just horses. And mountains. And lots of trees. So a lot of the stuff people talk about here, I never heard of and...

[...she feels too stupid, too much of a hick to bond over familiar things. Growing up people laughed at her for being so backwoods. That's something one doesn't shake off easily.]

But I want friends even though I don't know stuff. I don't mind learning! I... just don't want people to laugh at me about it.

[Alex is happy to meet any new people honestly. So it's less a pity case then mutual gain. /she wants the chance to make friends here. Honestly it's a miracle she didn't pop in just waving a hand going, I'll be your friend!...okay she pretty much ALMOST did that, but still.]

Wow. Yeah that would hurt the getting friends from childhood part.

I'm not like an expert on how things work but my world was pretty normal to a point. And it sounds more high tech then where you're from. So yeah, ask me anything. Promise I won't make fun of you.

And honestly I find the best way to make friends is to start talking to people. So I think you're on a good first step.

Normal.

[She rolls the world around in her mouth, not sounding offended at it, just curious on what it means in this context. Sasha assumes normal means no Titans, no shortage of food, and having indoor plumbing. Normal sounds nice. Normal is something she'd like for her world.]

I talk to people! [And then curiosity on what words mean, what some things are, takes over and next thing anybody knows, Sasha's taking over the conversation with a barrage of questions. Sometimes it turns people off.] I talked to people all the time when I was in training camp. Some of the people I met there are here, but they're doing their own things now and one even has a girlfriend.

[Her voice falls into a hush on that last one, a voice of utter awe. Dating. What a novel concept.]

Oh wow, a girlfriend? Do you know her? Because if you do, you can totally get embarrassing stories out of it and that's always good.

[She was going to get those.....she can't remember if she did. Either way Ren getting a girlfriend meant all the embarrassing stories.]

Are there a lot of people from your world here?

I do, but I know way more embarrassing stories I could tell her. Like how back home we could forecast what kind of weather we'd be having by what position he slept in.

[One leg up by Bertolt's head, the other on the wall? Rain. Half his body outside the window, why his arms are splayed out? Snow flurries, at the very least.]

Not really. There's only four of us here. There used to be another one, but he went back home a long time ago. Almost a year ago, I think. I wish they could all come here.

[It feels like forever since she last saw Connie. Like Mabel, he got Sasha. He just did. And they were dorks together and she always felt she could be herself around him. Connie would totally love Pokemon, maybe get himself a couple of high kicking ones too. But she's here and he's not so the ache runs deeper now that even Mabel is gone. Seems like every time she finds someone who understands her for her, Sasha is destined to be separated from them.]

[Okay she's laughing at that because it's hilarious, not because of you.]

Yeah, I know so many embarrassing stories about my best friend, Ren. Though he could probably counter with as many about me.

[She sighs, laughter dying down.]

That sucks....

I haven't been here long but ...I really miss my friends too. I'm hoping some of them show up, but....I don't want to get my hopes up, you know?

Yes! I think it was made worse by the fact that he's so tall too. All long legs and arms everywhere. We didn't think Bertolt was that flexible until we all saw it for ourselves.

[And boy, did she wish cameras existed in their world back then for those moments.]

Because if you do, then you're disappointed if they never show up. [Like she reminds herself not to do with Connie no matter if him showing up here guarantees his life.] I had a best friend at home. He'd like it here. It's safe, we have food, and he'd love the fighting Pokemon.

[She really wishes you had photos too. And that she had photos of Ren with her, because she's got so many pictures of him doing stupid stuff over the years.]

Yeah, exactly. I mean, I was never going to really see them again anyway. ....long, impossible sounding story there. But they could show up here because hey, I did.

And I think they'd like it here too. But ....I think I'll try to go for, expecting them not to show up. Just so it hurts less....
