[He sighs, shaking his head.]
I'm new here. I only got my pokemon just over a week ago. My Skorupi might be able to take out one or two, but no way is he gonna he able to knock them all out. And my Mareep is only level 4.
[She'd only hatched recently, and he'd been training her down Route 30.]
no subject
[Especially since his powers were non-existent in this realm which was beyond irritating.
But there was no time for that.]
This way--
[Loki veers and shoves his shoulder into the other man, pushing him down an alleyway rather suddenly while his Zorua and Gengar continue down the sidewalk, Thursday the Luxray following after Loki to keep him safe.
The flock of Murkrow split up to pursue both groups, more heading after the delinquents with the egg though a fair number were still hot on Loki and Craig's heels.]
And here I thought this place was going to be boring.
no subject
Yeah, I'd say it's a problem.
[He glances down at his Skorupi.]
Use Pin Missile!
[Pointy stops to turn around, firing off projectiles at the Murkrow. One of them falls after enough of them hit it, but there are still a few left.]
Well, that's one.
[But it took a lot of attacks; Skorupi is still a pretty low level compared to all those Murkrow.]
no subject
It just happens he got lucky and electricity seems to be a weakness for these birds.]
One is better than none at all. Thursday, if you would!
[The Luxray turned and lept to help the Skorupi, letting lose a Thunderbolt to knock out a few more of the birds.]
It may be in our best interest to get indoors. I can only assume that will stop their assault.
no subject
[He looks around, then points to a small building nearby.]
Here, there's a cafe. Quick!
[He ducks inside, making sure Pointy gets in too, and holds the door open for Loki. The customers seem surprised at his sudden entrance, but Boone ignores them.]
no subject
Outside, the Murkrow still following them pull back quickly to avoiding slamming into the door, several of them hitting it with gusts in irritation as they squawk and caw at the two through the glass.]
Looks like we just need to wait them out for a bit, give them a chance to grow tired of waiting for us.
[Him. Of waiting for him. This was Loki's fault after all.
He grinned and placed a hand on his chest, giving Boone a nod.]
Loki Odinson, at your service.
no subject
I'm Boone.
[He jerks his thumb towards the Skorupi.]
And this is Pointy.
[He looks at the door, frowning.]
So. What'd you do?
no subject
[Behind him the Luxray whimper rumbles and Loki let's out a huff of amusement.]
Right, my apologies. This pathetic feline is Thursday.
[It's said rather fondly despite the choice of words and the Luxray perks up immediately, padding over--careful of the tiles--and bumping his head up underneath Loki's arm.]
I didn't do anything to those creatures. [Excuse him while he rubs his Luxray's head and ears.] My Gengar might have accidentally ended up in possession of an egg though.
no subject
So you stole one of their eggs. No wonder they're pissed.
[He sighs, folding his arms.]
Maybe if we give it back, they'll stop chasing us.
[Well. Boone could probably walk out of here just fine, but still.]
no subject
[Thursday rumbles and Loki snorts, ruffling the Luxray's ears fondly.]
Enough of that. [His gaze shifts to Boone and he looks thoughtful--as thoughtful as Loki can be most of the time.] That would probably work though..it would probably be easier to do if the egg were with us. Unfortunately Narvi and Váli have it.
[Isn't that a shame.]
no subject
[Meanwhile, though... what are they gonna do?]
Well, guess we'd better make ourselves comfortable. Those birds aren't going away any time soon.
[He sits at a table, grabbing the menu. He's not particularly hungry, but they do food for pokemon here too, right?]
no subject
Probably not. They do seem to be rather persistent.
[Drawing away from Thursday, Loki moved over towards the table his new companion had taken a seat at and reached for a menu as well.]
At least they aren't particularly strong Pokemon. It could be far worse.
[It's said with a hint of amusement in his voice as he looks over the menu, Thursday coming over to attempt to squeeze his way underneath the trickster god's chair.]
no subject
[They're just strong enough that Boone can't do anything about them. He really needs to double up on training his pokemon. In the meantime though, he'll order some berries for them and a coffee for himself.]
So what were those pokemon doing with that egg, anyway?
[Did they steal it for food? Or just to piss off a flock of birds?]
no subject
[Translation: Loki had seen the Murkrow, said that he wanted one and well, here they are.
Setting his menu aside, he orders a latte for himself and some poffins for Thursday before giving Boone a small grin.]
Pokemon really do have minds of their own. So hard to control sometimes.
no subject
[Boone's Skorupi seems to want to play with Thursday, nudging the feline pokemon with his tail.]
Guess that's one way to get a pokemon, though. Wonder if they would have come after you if you'd just caught it normally.
no subject
Come friend! Let's play!]
Who knows. Given they are a rather large family unit they may not have taken kindly to it no matter what we did.
[They're going to hate it when they go back for another. Can't just have one raven Pokemon.]
no subject
Guess not. Never had that problem with catching the pokemon I have so far, but I guess I never tried catching one of those.
[His Magikarp just sort of flopped onto land in front of him one day, and two of the pokemon he has were given to him. Pidgey was pretty docile, and Skorupi was the pokemon that followed him around from the start.]
no subject
[Probably something to do with the strange weekend.
Thursday dropped to his stomach then rolled onto his back, reaching a paw out over his head towards the scorpion Pokemon with a rumble-purr.
It gets a small grin out of the trickster as he leans back in his seat.]
How many have you collected for yourself?
no subject
[He shrugs. He didn't catch the Magikarp for any real reason other than he had a pokeball, and he could.]
Hoping that if I train him enough he'll learn something. If not, I guess I just won't make him fight.
[Pointy tilts his head, then tries and fails to roll over too. His tail kind of gets in the way.]
no subject
The trickster nods his thanks to the waitress and reaches for his latte to take a sip.]
Which Pokemon is that? The one that doesn't know anything?
[So he can avoid it.
Thursday rumbles encouragingly before he rolls back onto his belly when Pointy can't seem to roll himself over, purring at the other. Good try, friend!]
no subject
[He reaches for one of the little pokeballs at his belt, and holds it up so it opens. A large, orange and white fish starts to flop around on the ground. Skorupi looks curiously at the new pokemon, and reaches out gently to poke it.]
Use Splash.
[The Magikarp jumps up and flails uselessly in the air, before landing. Boone gives Loki a deadpan look.]
That's his only move.
no subject
Thursday.
[Loki's voice has a slight note of warning to it, enough that the feline slumps completely on the ground with a disgruntled rumble.
They both watch as the fish performs...wait what..did it do anything?]
Was that even a move? [The trickster stares at Boone looking extremely unimpressed.] What is the point of having that thing if it can't do anything?
no subject
[He shrugs, returning the Magikarp to its ball.]
Still holding out hope that it'll learn something one day. Otherwise, I've got no idea how these things would survive out in the wild.
no subject
[It has to at least have that going for it, right?
Taking another sip of his drink, Loki reaches for one of the Poffins and breaks a piece off, offering both Thursday and Pointy a piece.
What. He's there he might as well offer both creatures some.]
At the very least I now know which water type to avoid.
no subject
[He fiddles with his gear, then nods.]
Yeah, it evolves. Not sure what it evolves into, though. Don't have any data on that yet.
[So he supposes he'll just train Magikarp until it evolves into whatever it evolves into. Pointy seems delighted at the poffin, taking it between both points and holding it in front of its face so it can eat. Boone pushes some of the berries he ordered over to Loki's side, so he can have some too.]
