119th moon [video]

[Today, on the network, you may behold eggs! A large pile of eggs! Eggs upon eggs upon eggs upon eggs upon-

Ah, wait. Make that eggs upon eggs, the endless reflections of those eggs upon eggs, and a Cecil who has long given up the good fight (also endlessly reflected).]

Would anyone be interested in buying these eggs? The Magikarps and Caterpies cost P500, the others P1500, I offer plenty of deferred payments plans and even a free handmade egg pillow with each delivery. I'm willing to consider egg trades for certain species such as Magby or Espurr; ask for details if you're interested.

[He then sighs, looking over the pile once more.]

Please also note that the Lunar Gym may be closed tomorrow and Tuesday nights, due to a slight... mess in the battle room. Thank you.

[Gee, what kind of mess could it possibly be?]

Not in particular. I don't intend to use this Lapras in battle. Rather, I recently inherited a Lapras breeding pod from a friend of mine. I was hoping to add a new member to it.

[Another victim of PTBS: Post-Traumatic Breeding Disorder.]

That and I was hoping to diversify the bloodlines a bit more. Several of the members are related to each other, which isn't an issue right now, but could lead to one in the future.

[Nobody wants poke-incest to happen.]

I'll have to find a good way to keep track of all of that. Hopefully, the fact that I'll be releasing members into the wild when they are ready for it will help.

[He's going to have to draw up a chart. And somehow figure out which of his current Lapras are related. And perhaps see if he can find out who Newt got them from.]

I suppose there is no time like the present. Would you mind telling me which one of your pokemon produced this egg?

[He considers the suggestion for a few moments.]

I'm not sure that would work. Seeing as I hope to release some of them someday, I'm trying to let them live as naturally as I can. I found a small bay near to where I work to house them in. They are fairly well guarded there, but they are still out on the water constantly. I'm not sure if ribbons could stand up to being constantly wet or getting scraped along the rocks.

[If he had been keeping them in more of a house like setting, it might work better though.]

Thank you. I know this is a long shot, but can you remember ever selling a Lapras egg to someone called Newt Scamander?

I think... it was almost a year ago, now. He left [his voices catches for a moment because he had cared a lot for Mr Newt.] About two months ago. He first told me about his intentions to start a Lapras breeding pod in February, but I am not entirely certain when he started collecting Lapras.

Thank you. You've been very helpful.

Do you by any chance still remember who you sold the other egg to?

[Because that would be another person in this world with a Lapras for him to approach for potential breeding matches.]

[Oh. Noctis. Another friend who is now gone.]

I can't remember hearing anyone talk about inheriting a Lapras from him after he left, but I'll keep it in mind, thank you.

Thank you. And if you ever end up with another Lapras egg in the future, I'd be more than happy to provide a home for it.

[No matter the price.]
