Almost eight years, but not all were caught or raised by my hand. Pokémon inherited from people who have returned home can easily double or triple one's team's size.

[Having one (1) Pokémon is a very peaceful situation she should enjoy while it lasts.]

Eight years?! People can really stay here for that long? [She can't imagine staying here for such a long time.] It sounds like you have a lot of experience...

I'm the... third-earliest arrival that still remains, I believe. But I assure you that we're the exception, far over the average stay. You can expect a year or two, along with plenty of opportunities of your own to welcome new arrivals. When were you brought to New Bark Town if you don't mind me asking?

I got here almost a week ago. I'm still in Cherrygrove at the moment. [Yuuko laughs a little.] I'm starting to feel like there's a whole lot about this place that I have yet to learn about.

You've barely started your journey in this strange yet wonderful world, then.

The first few weeks are the most confusing, as you slowly adapt to this land's peculiar logic. But there is far more information available now than there was back when I arrived, and more opportunities to choose your own path. I've no doubt you'll enjoy it.

I'm sure I will. Luckily I've had people give me some good advice so far, so I'll be sure to keep it in mind going forward. Right now I'm planning to try doing some Pokemon breeding myself, but who knows where things will go from there?

There's no way to tell. When I first arrived, I never imagined I'd buy a house and build a Gym. I've seen people start businesses, discover new skills and hobbies they'd never imagined, learn how to battle as well as any local... In this world, you could try anything you'd like, whether it involves breeding or not.

Well, I figured it wouldn't hurt to start with breeding, at least. [Though at some point, she would like to try and give skating lessons to whoever wants them.]

Speaking of which...what kind of eggs do you have? [She has a feeling it's going to be a long list.]

This year, I'm offering both forms of Vulpix, both Nidorans, Axew, Barboach, Blitzle, Budew, Castform, Caterpie, Chespin, Chikorita, Chimchar, Cleffa, Cubchoo, Deerling, Deino, Ekans, Feebas, Finneon, Froakie, Furfrou, Goomy, Happiny, Honedge, Houndour, Jangmo-o, Lapras, Larvesta, Ledyba, Lileep, Litwick, Magikarp, Meowth, Mienfoo, Onix, Oricorio, Petilil, Ponyta, Popplio, Qwilfish, Ralts, Riolu, Sableye, Shinx, Snorunt, Swablu, Tangela, Timburr, Togepi, Trapinch, Tyrunt, Vulpix and Zorua.

[After all that, he needs a few moments to breathe, before he continues.]

I train a few more species, but they either fathered eggs that take after their mother or would need to breed with a Ditto. I'd... rather not encourage that.

That's a lot of choices... [And Yuuko doesn't even know most of them. There's a pause as she tries to think it over.]

Um...you said both forms of Vulpix, right? What are the differences?

[paladinlost]

One form is native to this region, uses the Fire-type and is reddish-brown with well-defined tails and curls. The other hails from southern lands and uses Ice, also gaining the Fairy-type as they evolve. Those are white as snow, with messier fur. Both are a delight to train, sharing some moves that are not related to their type.

I see. Hmm... [Yuuko thinks about it for a little longer.]

Then I'll take the Ice-type one, please!

Very well! Where do you need the egg delivered?

I'm at the inn in Cherrygrove. Oh, and my name's Yuuko Nishigori, by the way.

How long would you say it will be before it hatches?

Mine is Cecil Harvey. It's a pleasure to meet you, Yuuko. My Aerodactyl will deliver the egg to you by tomorrow afternoon; after that, you'll only have to wait a week or so. Taking walks with the egg and keeping it warm helps.
