Ekans are Poison-types, while the Wooper line combines the Water- and Ground-types.

[He smiles, though it looks very much like a smirk.]

The reactions of those who use Electric-type moves against such an obvious Water-type are delightful.

That's very kind of you. With the ever-present risk of wild Pokémon potential ruining his garden, I'm sure he greatly appreciates your help. What sort of plants does he grow?

[Krieg will probably never have a deep understanding of this world's battle mechanics. He mostly just knows what his team is strong against, and what their weaknesses are, with some additional, random trivia thrown in for flavor thanks to his friendship with Armin.]

Mostly thorny flowers! And some kinds of vegetables. Carrots and potatoes? I'll find out when they come up.

Growing carrots and potatoes is an excellent idea. They keep well during the winter and can often make the difference between surviving and starving, though that's less of a potential issue in this world.

We might not need it, but it's always fun to play in the dirt. I can't wrestle the muscle cats all day.

I know. Yet battling level 5 Magikarps has more of an effect on our Pokémon's levels than sparring against us would. It makes no sense.
