[You know what's great about beaches? They've got beautiful shorelines, fantastic sunsets (and sunrises), and they're especially nice to take a nap on.
Unfortunately isn't one of those beaches.
At first the only view is of a few craggy rocks and the waves that violently crash against them, but the scene is interrupted by a low rumble of thunder off in the distance and an even deeper growl from close by as the pokegear moves. At first the cause isn't known but soon enough a large tail curls its way into view, the action jostling it in just the right way to show Bertolt tucked up against the side of a slightly golden Aggron and prompts him to silently pick it up.
He's... Well, Bertolt has clearly seen better days. Between the light drizzle of rain that started up some twenty odd minutes ago and the way his former long-sleeved shirt has been torn into a t-shirt of sorts, he's a piece of work. But hey, at least the 3DMG harness he had been wearing back home was in one piece? ...Sort of. It's definitely not going to be usable, but getting rid of it was the last thing on his mind at the moment. He's tired, okay? Home was r o u g h.
For a long moment he just sort of stares at the pokegear, and it's only when the Aggron nudges the back of his head and snorts that he snaps out of his daze. Right--]
Hey, um...
[Another crack of thunder and Bertolt shudders, drawing himself into a tighter ball and scooting closer to the larger Pokemon.]
I-I, uh... I don't really know where I am, but I think I'm stuck out here. The last thing I remember was being up in Blackthorn, but this... [His brows knit together and he gives sort of a half-shrug.] I woke up here about an hour ago.
[And the last time he checked, Blackthorn wasn't in the middle of the ocean.]
I don't have any other Pokemon with me. It's just me and Reiner, and he's not the best swimmer so I'm, uh, not sure how to get back.

Video;
[A part of Armin had expected Bertolt to be gone for good, for him to never return here again like Eren or Mikasa, or many of the other people who had once been here. But there he is again. And, yes, to be fair, he looks horrendous and like he went through a lot, but he is here.
Armin's eyes might just be a tiny bit watery, pay no mind.]
Where-- [he stops; Bertolt had already said he didn't know.] Can you see any landmarks at all?
[Armin's head feels like a mess, too many things he wants to ask all at once, but he pushes it all back in favour of finding out where Bertolt is. The rest could be talked about in due time once they had gotten him.]
Video;
A-Armin...
[Keep it together, Hoover. His Aggron senses this discomfort at least, curling his body to make a nice, bulky Aggron-wall around his trainer. He'll protect!]
I-I, uh... No.
[Breathe.]
Video;
[That'll make this a little more difficult. Not insurmountable, but more difficult.]
Do you think you could ride Reiner and see if there is anything nearby that will serve as a landmark? Even something small might be enough to narrow down where you are.
Re: Video;
[He glances away, reaching up to rub his palm against the Aggron's jaw. He's okay, buddy. He's okay.]
All I've seen is a cave, but the entrance wasn't big enough to fit him through normally. A-And I don't want to put him away in case something happens.
Video;
[But yeah, beyond that, he hasn't been able to narrow it down much.]
Are you okay, at least? We were so worried when you disappeared.

*Sion's visited the Seafoam Islands, as well as extensively explored the Whirl Islands, so while it's been a while... well, there's a decent chance if it's one of the two he'd be able to pinpoint Bertolt's location*
Re: Video
[The Aggron even rumbles his distaste for it - how can he protect his person if he can't fit? Let alone fight in it?]
The storm is pretty rough too, so I don't think I can get him to swim out there.
Re: Video
Ryner and I have spent some time in some of the islands, particularly the Whirl Islands. It's possible if you're there I might be able to identify where.
Though in the mean time... I don't suppose he knows dig? If the island you're on is large enough, he might be able to dig out the cave to be larger and deeper for the two of you.
Video
[Oh, gods. If this is the Whirl Islands he's heard about... He knows there's no way his Aggron can swim past the whirlpools for so many reasons.]
I-I don't know. I mean, he knows dig, but he can barely get his shoulders through the entrance.
Re: Video
However, if he can't fit, perhaps you should take a look inside, yourself, while he stands guard just outside. If the cave inside is plenty large for both of you, perhaps you could recall him to his ball just momentarily and let him out again once you're past the entrance. But one way or another, it would be best for you to have shelter until the storm's over. Especially since that will make it easier to pick out any landmarks.

[The rest of it, though...]
What are your last memories before ending up there? Were you with someone else, with your other Pokémon? Did you drink or eat anything strange? Are any of your belongings missing?
[video]
[He frowns, one hand coming up to press against the side of his head for a few moments.]
They sent me home, but I don't know how. I wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary, either. A-As for my stuff, um... I'm guessing it's back at the house. All I have is the Pokegear, his ball, and what I'm wearing.
[video]
[And dumped on a beach somewhere, which would have involved a lot of effort for a mere mugging, but.]
I hear the whole 'sent home temporarily then brought back happens once in a while, but I didn't know it could involve ending up in the middle of nowhere. Do you know how big this place is?
[video]
[Especially being sent home. The one thing he never wanted to happen--]
I-I'm not sure though. All I can see is ocean and more rocks, and part of a cave nearby. I don't recognize any of it.

Bertolt! I thought you were gone forever!
[So did Marcel and his howling pretty much translates to the same. Don't you ever leave again, Bert. People can't get any sleep with this racket.]
» video
Thank the gods he was still here. One of the things he had been dreading is that his Pokemon had vanished somewhere just like he did, never to return and nobody could blame him after waking up with only his Aggron in the middle of nowhere.
--And then there's Sasha right along with a dull ache in his heart and a lump in his throat. She had been unconscious the last time he had seen her, though for him that had been barely over an hour or two ago. It's harder to keep his composure in front of her, and he has to bite the inside of his cheek to try and keep relatively calm.
She may have been unconscious back home, but she's still... She's still the same Sasha that he spoke to before he was sent back to that cruel world. Nothing changed, right?]
I-I'm sorry.
[His Aggron rumbles low in his chest, if only to get Marcel's attention. Look, he's fine! Relax!]
» video
It's okay! It's not like you wanted to go home!
[Remember it happened to her too? Only her stay was for much longer and she ended up losing a lot of her Pokemon. It's something out of their control, much like their lives back home, and she'd never hold it against Bertolt.
Marcel's attention is caught, but he is a giant baby who continues singing the song of his people. Are you sure? He was gone for so long! This girl is nice, but I want to go home! Galliard too!]
You don't know where you are? What happened to your clothes? Is someone coming to get you?
[Not that she can. She knows even less about where Bertolt could possibly be than he does.]
» video
[If it stays where it is, it should be fine. If it ends up right on top of him? That'll be a different story. He's been on rough seas before and boy he didn't have a very good time. If they all thought his sea sickness on a calm sea was bad...
He's not sure if he can tell her what happened, though. Not entirely at least. It's still a hard pill to swallow, and it's even harder when he's faced with one of the last people who saw him before everything went to shit.]
...Some things happened back-- [He can't say Paradis.] B-Back home.

You should find cover if you can. Get out of the storm until someone can get to you..
[She looks at the large Pokemon with him then back to Bert as the Flabébé on her shoulder twills softly.]
Someone is coming to you, right?
[Video]
[He shifts so he can peer up at his Aggron, and the big Pokemon sticks his head into view with a soft rumble. He's having a big heckin' concern about his trainer, tiny flower friend!]
And, uh... I'm not sure if Reiner'll let me move yet. I think he's afraid something'll happen if he leaves my side.
[Video]
Understandable. [Chise's look turns thoughtful.] You could try picking him up. Carefully, I mean. [Why yes she is talking directly to Reiner.] If the storm gets worse the tide will get higher.
video;
[On the one hand, Jean is delighted that Bertolt is back. On the other, he also knows what was waiting for Bertolt back home, and judging by the tattered gear he's wearing and the state of his shirt, it wasn't a pleasant visit.]
Want me to come and get you?
[Let's ignore the serious implications of what may or may not have happened and get right to the point: you need a lift, buddy?]
video;
Deep breaths, Bertolt. It's fine.]
I'm still not sure where I am. I've been trying to figure it out, but I think it's narrowed down to somewhere in the Whirl Islands--? I-I don't know.
[One thing he does know however--]
...Can you bring me some clothes if you do?
video;
Whirl Islands... okay. Okay, I'm not too far from there. Be on the lookout for... well, for a train car with legs.
[He'll be more comfortable if he can go inside, right? And be warm and dry instead of on Rocky's back.]
Yeah, sure. I'm in my train car so you can have whatever you want out of my closet.
We're on our way, all right? Do you want me to keep talking or wait until I'm there?
video;
[A train car. Jean, how in the world-- Well, stranger things have happened here, but there's still one important thing here.]
It can float? Will it be okay through the whirlpools?
[Because despite what happened, Jean was still - and always will be - one of his precious friends. He can still worry about him!]
A-And, um... I wouldn't mind if you kept talking.
