[The feed clicks on to Hermione sitting in a Poke Centre room, surrounded by Jezebel, Tina, Elkanah, Morgan and Beaumont. She looks sad and Tina reaches over to hold her hand.]
I really miss them, you know? Mr Scamander and Credence. I know their pokemon do too.
[Most of them nod sadly, even Jez who was usually in playful spirits. Hermione had been at Snowpoint for a little while now. She'd sent Abies and Snowball out to scout the area for a couple of the scavenger hunt people she'd heard could be nearby, not feeling confident enough to brave the snow and ice caves by herself. The waiting had given her time to think, and well... she was lonely.]
I...find it difficult...to make friends.
[She looks away from the camera for a moment, tears pricking her eyes.]
I hope they're doing okay. And I hope Mr Scamander found Credence back in our world.
[Suddenly a large greyish white canine-looking blur barrels through the feed, leaping on Hermione and bowling her over in a flail of limbs and fur.]
OOOF! Jack!

Scamander's the Newt who came before me, right? The more I hear about him, the more I wish I'd gotten to meet him, you know? Seems like you and the little Newt and just about everyone else really liked that dude. I think everyone I've talked to has brought him up at least once when they heard my name, not just you. I don't know anything about Credence, though-
[Aaaand he finally notices that Hermione is no longer on the screen and that she's been tackled by a dog.]

I'm fine, just a bit winded.
And yeah, he's an amazing person. He's famous in my world for his work with magical creatures. He really loves creatures of all sorts, so of course he really loved being around pokemon.
Credence was also from my world - from the same time period as Mr Scamander. I'd like to think that we were close friends.
[It was more than that. Hermione had developed strong feelings for the older boy while he'd been here, and was devastated when he'd returned home.]

Wait, time period- so they were both from your world's past? How does that work, really? Did whatever forces that like, picks us up and bring us here decide to grab you and then some people from a few centuries ago? What's up with that? How does it chose which people to take?

I actually have a large space of land near Goldenrod, where these guys stay with my other pokemon. I've just got them with me now because...well they remind me of my friends.

[At least in her experience. Before meeting Elias, Silky, Ruth and everyone else, Chise had always felt alone. People hadn't wanted to be around her which made finding people to be friends with impossible.
So she can definitely understand, to a degree, what this girl was going through. What she was feeling.
Chise can't help but smile softly as the dog barrels into Hermione, the Rockruff perched on her lap tilting it's head with a narrowed eyed, worried look.]
