Yotsuba & The City [Action/Video]
Who: Yotsuba and YOU!
Where: Violet City
When: Backdated to August 1
Summary: Yotsuba arrives in Violet City, dusty, dirty, and ready to further train her pokemon in preparation for her first gym battle
Rating: G for now, if anything happens I'll adjust this

[It had been a long road. 10 days of travel. She'd nearly run out of packaged food, but had yet to resort to eating berries, when finally the small girl made it, staggering into Violet City and flopping on the road.]
Cicada-chan... We're here! The city! [Her nincada, which has left her usual place on Yotsuba's shoulders to poke her in the face and make sure she's ok, buzzes excitedly. This is her first big city in a while, after all. Prompted by the poking, Yotsuba pushes herself to her feet again.]
We should find the pokemon center! You guys need to rest up! [So she runs off, looking for the tell-tale red roof, chased by a madly buzzing nincada.]

[The feed opens in the familiar interior of a pokemon center. Yotsuba is grinning away, per usual. She's still a bit dingy from her travels.]
Yotsuba caught a lot of new pokemon on the way to the city!
[She starts to do an inventory of them, then frowns.]
Where did they go? Yotsuba only has six pokemon, but there should be more!
[The PC is right behind her. Someone teach her how to use it?]

You can only carry six Pokemon at a time. When you caught a seventh one, it got sent to a computer. Do you know how to use it?
[how does the ball know you already have six full ones? Kaz is... still working on that.]

All right. Come on, I'll show you how to use it-- it's in the Pokemon center.

[And she goes running off towards it in the leggy, sprawling run that only little kids have the energy for that nonetheless eats up ground.]

First, you have to decide which of your current Pokemon you don't want to carry with you right now. Which one do you want to put away?

[She looks angrily at the pokeball with whiskers on it. It does not react.]
So this computer stores pokemon?

It's gone! Is he in the computer now? How does that work?! That's crazy!

[and that is not even a mystery he's bothering with, given his sub-par engineering ability.]
Now, use the mouse-- put the little arrow over the picture of the one you want to take out, and click it. Then push the button, and it'll come out.

This is fun!
[She clicks on a tiny icon of a pachirisu, and lo and behold, a brand-new, unmarked pokeball appears on the stand.]
Isn't it amazing what they can do with technology these days!
[Heaven only knows where she picks up on these phrases. For now, though, she grabs the pokeball and sits on the floor, taking off her backpack and pulling a set of markers and a couple almost-new pages of stickers out of them.]

[She points in the general direction of the nearby teleport pad with one hand, while clumsily drawing swirls on the pokeball with the other.]

[there's probably an entire barrel of philosophical questions that go with the things' existence, but Kaz doesn't much care about any of them, given that's it's obviously useful and hasn't killed anyone.]
There's a few ways you can go. You could go to Violet, Azalea, or Ecruteak.

[That's a lot of choices. Or.... well, it's three, but the way Yotsuba is pondering makes it seem like a lot. She crosses her arms, and tilts her head until she's almost parallel with the floor.]
That's a tough choice. Yotsuba wants to visit them all someday.
[At the moment, exploring and catching pokemon is enough for her.]
