Christmas Thoughts - Video

Christmas time is around the corner. I noticed that this place is more of a Western Christmas all things around, so I need to find myself some kind of present-based Christmas party to go to or host.

Back home, Christmas in Japan is a huge date night for couples, both married and non. I haven't had a date since I was in high school, and even then I dropped out to focus on my work.

God I feel old...

Aw well, at least I have my kids. We'll be baking cookies for everyone, once I figure out this frankenstein of a recipe I found on the shelves. I'm almost terrified to brown butter here but here's hoping I don't burn down the building doing so.

Replacing it would be more of a pain on the road, but then again few people would bother to be fancy cooks in the wilderness in the first place.

That's true, and you can't really bake a cake while on the road unless you're some kind of traveling gourmet.

It'd be such a useful skill to have, too, when you have an angry wild Pokémon to placate. If that angry Pokémon is willng to wait until it's ready, of course.

Yeah, I'm sure there's some phenomenal skill with being able to cook full course meals on the road.

But who has that kind of skill?

Whoever they are, I hope they'll share their secrets with us mere decent cooks someday. I sure wouldn't mind some extra variety on the road.

Same. It'll be nice once I'm back on the road for taking on gyms.

Then again, the thought of better food could motivate you to reach the next city faster, if you need it.

Wherever you are, whoever you are and whatever you do, people appreciate good food. I'd be surprised if the thought of good food didn't motivate people to keep going.
