Hey, everyone, it's Ray Stantz here! You know, the guy who was freezing on Route 29 on Christmas Eve?
Don't worry, I'm more than safe now. :-)
Anyway, I do research on the supernatural (I specialize in ghosts and the hunting and containment of them, for those curious!) and I've been reading up on myths and legends in this dimension. It's pretty interesting stuff, but I would like to hear some first hand accounts of the strange and unusual sightings in this dimension! Whether it's encounters with Legendary Pokémon, normal Pokémon, or just strange occurrences you've noted in this dimension, I want to hear about it! I think it would help get me a better understanding of this dimension. And even if it doesn't, it would be fun to hear about!
Or heck, if you have any fun stories of strange encounters back in your home dimension I would love to hear that too; I'm not picky!

So this Suicune is a mischievous spirit then? [He really doesn't need to use the word "spirit"...] Was there a known reason why Suicune stole your kettle or was it unprompted?

Also my home dimension has Gravity Falls which is a town that's filled with weird things. I mean my sister and I spent a summer there with our grunkle (great uncle). And we ran into things like gnomes, ghosts, a demon, a shapeshifter. The 8½th President of the United States of America encased in peanut brittle.
Lots of stuff.
Text
Huh, I can't say I've ever heard of Gravity Falls. I'm assuming we're from similar dimensions if you mentioned the United States of America. Mind telling me what state that's in, if you are from the USA, that is.
I didn't know half presidents were a thing though! But I will admit, American history was never my strong suit in school.
[Or any history that didn't involve the supernatural.]

And I'm not sure I'd call it "fun". But back home there's an island where if you mess around with a radio you can accidently open up a ....portal into a dimension with some ghosts that got stuck there when they died years ago. They like to try to possess people so they can escape.
Text
[I'm sorry, Alex, when Ray reads "I'm not sure I'd call it 'fun'" in regards to the supernatural, he reads "Okay so here's this really cool thing involving the supernatural."]
That sounds so cool! :-D I've been to a couple of alternate ghost dimensions myself, but none that were activated by using a radio!

Well, I am unsure if you encountered anything similar in your line of work, but recently, back in my dimension, we discovered that there was an entire river of pink slime flowing under New York City. This slime was charged with the negative energy of the residents and had incredible psychokinetic potential.
Coincidentally, this incident also propelled us back into the limelight, and we were allowed to continue working as spirit capture and containment services.
[just ignoring the whole vigo thing, the slime was pretty cool]
text
[In case he wanted to keep that little tidbit a secret.]
Yeah I definitely haven't experienced anything like that, weird! But that would explain why New York has been going downhill lately.
Oh, did you ever figure out the source of the slime? I feel like negative energy slime isn't something that just appears out of nowhere.

Oh my!
First of all, I'm quite sorry to hear you were in such a position on Christmas Eve! I was kind of preoccupied, so I hadn't heard if anyone was in help...but I'm glad you're doing better!
Secondly, if it's the supernatural or strange you want, then hopefully you'll be here for one of the weekends where everything kind of gets screwy for everybody.
I think it's usually in springtime and late autumn, but there's two weekends out of the year where travel doesn't work like it should, you can literally walk out of your front door and end up all the way across the region, or deep in a cave...and for those of us who had weird quirks or powers back home, or who weren't even human, all that stuff comes back for those days!
It's an absolute mess of a time, but there's nothing more supernatural than that, in my opinion.
Oh, and if you like ghosts, this is mine! Her name is Ribbon.
[Attached is a snapshot of a Mimikyu with a dark blue ribbon barrette on one of its ears, casually reaching out from underneath its costume to get a leftover red and green Poffin from a festive Delibird plate.]
[Text]
I wasn't able to give them anything on Christmas Day though, that was sad. :-(
Oh dang, I hope I can see that sometime? Do you have any idea why that dimension does that? Is it like fourth dimensional travel through a tesseract?
[and OH MY GOD RAG DOLL POKEMON.]
She's adorable! I've read a tiny bit about them but just seeing a good picture of a Mimikyu in person just makes me love them more.
I've been reading conflicting things about them, actually. Do they idolize or have spite over the Pokemon they're trying to emulate?

These guys seem to have quite a high level of sentience, don't they? I'm kind of curious what possibly happened on this planet where almost all the fauna have evolved to have a similar level of intelligence as human beings.

There've been a few times where I've had a close friend of mine appear in this world and disappear after the weekend passed, and I've ended up in completely different locations because of it. I don't know what causes it though.

And I really hope that means I can see Winston, Slimer, or Janine in this dimension sometime soon. I love this dimension but it's just not the same without them!

Oh, and my partner's shadow was once possessed by a ghost pokemon. It would move on its own.
no subject
And their shadow? Huh, you don't see that often! I'm guessing it was from a more benevolent spirit since it didn't bother possessing your actual partner.

The last day, we had all kinds of extraterrestrial pokemon appearing.
Also, I have a Mimikyu who prefers a Spheal disguise to a Pikachu one, but I don't think that counts.
no subject
Gee, I hope I get to see it myself in that case! I've been wanting to catch a Minior for myself that a full on shower of them would be even more beneficial to research!
[Well... research and to shove the Minior in Egon's dumb "aliens done exist" face]
That's adorable! Can I see a picture of them?

[Overly cheerful nice lady returns!]
We get these yearly parties-slash-dances thrown for us, they're colloquially called "proms" though from my understanding they're far too lacking in teenage drama to really be called those.
One time we had one on the moon. It was when we met a very nice legendary that just wanted us to have fun.
Oh, then there was the time some of us got our DNA spliced with Pokemon around Halloween time? Bad things usually happen around Halloween, I would say that was one of the worst times besides the last "prom" bringing some screaming dimensional hellion jellies out of the sky.
Just you wait, there will be quite a lot of things to see.
no subject
Oh yeah, I've heard about the proms! I'm glad they're only called proms in name only, however, I've never been able to get a date for proms back when I was in school :-(
And I've heard about the jellyfish! The DNA splicing is new information though. So did you guys start turning into human/Pokemon hybrids or was something else going on there?
(no subject)
no subject
So, anyway, it was around Halloween. The entire world turned pixelated. This weird, backwards music started playing everywhere. People started acting like lifeless A.I. with scripted dialogue. Even the Pokemon just followed basic commands.
But to top it all off, these weird, blocky abominations called Missingno. began popping up all over the place.

[The idea of people staying here for so long is still so baffling to him.
That's so neat though! It really brings to question the true nature of this dimension! It's a shame it happened so long ago, though. :-( And there's no evidence of this reoccurring after that time?
